I see you have been busy today modding 02av8.1 (y)

02av8.1 you earn them when you finish installing them...Ambers look great... (y) (y) :B:

Done - love the look  (y)

Should've done it years ago, but finally got motivated enough when I saw that the driver's side bulb had burned out (damn, only 125k miles on the factory bulb :) ).

Next, gotta get the on-board air rigged before the Pismo trip in two weeks.

:help:
I have a 2010 Av  and I don't have a shiny L shaped clip on top of my headlight assy. Anyone know how to change DRL to amber????

I wasn't sure I would like the look of this before I did this, but now I'm in love with them, especially with my All on HI mod!

First off, I am WAY behind on installing ambers in my 02 2500, and today ws the first I heard of the 2500 Nation. My question is this: after wading through the amber postings history for almost an hour, I saw a few posts on LEDs. I am stuck. Should I go with LEDS or traditional ambers and if I go with LEDs, what are the part #s and where can I find them?

Ambers in last nite. Now I will def keep a look out for for others on the road! Didn't think I would like 'em but seen them this a.m. and wow it makes a huge difference! Also, instead of trying to see them in the reflection of the car in front of you, or a gas station window, or putting the E brake on while in drive and jumping out to see them, all I had to do was hit the unlock button on my key fob and they pop right on!!

I'm sure it's been asked and answered, but with the FTDRL and All4OnHigh mods, is there a way to make the Fog Light switch on the dash operational so that it only affects the Fogs?  As you can see, I'm getting bored and need to modify something else.

Installed the ambers 2 days ago before the cold & snow hit. They didn't work until I removed & reset the 15 amp fuse.

This afternoon -

ok I failed...

you guys ---> :beating: <---me

I tried on 2 seperate time to replace the DRL  and cannot get it out of the socket. What am i doing wrong?

Where exactly are you having trouble? Reach up under the bumper, and find the socket. On the side of the socket where it meets the back of the lens, there is a tab. Push in on this tab and rotate about a quarter turn, and you can pull the socket out of the lens. Then, grab the bulb and pull it straight out of the socket. Reverse the process to reinstall it. You shouldn't have to force anything, but you might need to be a little firm getting the bulb out of the socket. A little rocking side to side along the long axis of the bulb's wedge base sometimes helps.

ok got mine in finally. My problem was i was making it seem harder that it really was. Thought i had broke something at first cause i put the e brake on and in drive and they did not work. released it and they came right on. I will post a pic later when I take one.

So new set of Ambers running around Denver! Look for them in west Denver and Wash Park

put my ambers in today looks pretty cool. i didnt read all 19 pages of posts so this may have already been said but you do not have to start the truck to see them just simply turn the key to on and put the truck in gear it is alot less likly to mow you down like this!!!!! only downfall to this mod is while laying in the snow under my truck noticed a pretty severe oil leak on the drivers side somewhere. doh!!!!!!

oh yeah one other thing  some discoloration of the plug is an understatement they looked like they were pulld from a fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes sir, you would be correct. page 17 post 423.

Congrats on your ambers....they do make a difference!
My plugs were darkened also which in turn put a light smoke film on the inner lens.... :E:
