Ambers spotted on Fleming Island @ Pace Island

I spotted a pair of AMBERS on Fleming Island this beautiful Christmas Day! Around 4:00p, an Arrival Blue w/ Pinstripes was pulling into Pace Island. I rolled down my window, and flashed them a //\\ but got no response. I was headed South on Hwy 17 and he was head North and then turned into Pace. Who dat?

Planet is that your new ride?
 
Spotted a blue (or was it black) AV with Ambers on Cecil Field. He caught my attention and waved first. Who b that in my neck of z woods?

Av looked lifted and was cleeean!!

could be ...who else is in the area? Chafee is right near Cecil so maybe he's a golfer like you. I would see the AV more if he worked a normal shift on the base. I almost flipped a u-turn but had to go and pick my daughter up from school. My sighting was around 4-430ish.

That was I in your neck of z woods. ?I started a class at FCCJ tonight. ?I'm not lifted. ?Its stock height. ?I'll be on your side of town thursday as well.

I just read your signature your av sounds sweet. I will have to take a closer look.  Tues and thurs class? What do they have at Cecil (aviation)?

It was pretty cool to see some ambers and I guess your truck is black.

You know I actually turned down the wrong road today. ?I thought I turned into the main road. ?:rolleyes: ?If I hadent we never would have passed. ?To bad you couldnt turn around. ?I had an hour and a half to kill before class. ?I'll be thier about the same time maybe earlier on Thursday. ?I get off work at 1530 at NAS Jax.

Thanks.  Your sounds sweet as well.  Yes they an have aviation school.  They are next to where customs has thier P3's

Funny I was looking for brake lights also. :D

I'll be thier in the parking lot around 4 depending on traffic.  If you want to shoot the breeze.

Someone brought it back to life, having seen ambers in that same area.  Not that big of a deal.

That was me reviving this thread. Enstead of starting a new one I saw this one and how it was similar. Fleming Island is not far from Cecil Field and it did relate to an ambers spotting.
 
I can't believe Cecil Field is still open. I was stationed there from '82 - '85. It was in rough shape back then. I would have thought it would be at the top of the base closing list.
 
Kodio, it is closed...but they turned into "Cecil Commerce Center"...kinda like a business park or something...everyone still calls it Cecil Field though.

Yep..the base is quasi closed. This area is now US Customs, Boeing, a school, and several other small caompanies. Portions of housing are still open and have navy personal there. Feels like a ghost town out here.

me too...but I bet I suck even more than you do. I once shot a 90....on a 9-hole course  :eek: we should play sometime  :laugh: might take ALL day!
