Any Liquid Glass Users?

I've used it before.
If it's too hot, if you use too much, or if it's left on too long it tends to haze up and be difficult to remove. Do small sections at a time, in the shade.
I do like the product when everything goes well, but there are better solutions out there.

We use Liquid Glass on Rusty's Av and on my Lincoln and have never had a problem. It is hard to remember to apply it using a back and forth motion instead of using a circular motion. We did notice some weird grayish residue on the applicator first time we used it , but that is normal according to the back of the can. Seems like the cooler it is out, the easier it was to put on and take off. I have 4 coats on my Lincoln, and there is 3 on the Av. The Av is Summit White and my car is ivory pearl, don't know if paint color matters with the ease of application and removal. Red paint oxidizes so quickly and easily.

Don't give up, the more coats you put on, the easier it gets and you can't beat that shine !!!

Thought about doing the Zaino thing, but too much work in the hot Arkansas sun,and a bit pricey for all the products you need to do it right.

Good luck, and hang in there.

Glad that I could be of assistance.
You're right. I really don't plan on using my AV as a showcar, so I'm not sure that I will invest the time or money in Zaino. My truck IS a truck, and I use it for many "truck" things. We'll see.
But I do like the results of Zaino.

I used to use Liquid Glass about 10 years ago.
I used to have a friend of mine who worked at an auto parts store and he used to give me a nice discount from the $25 / container.

I will admit, the first time you use the Zaino, it usually takes most people about 3-4 hours.
But, after the first time, I can apply another coat of Z2 in about 10 minutes. Zaino can be applied to the whole vehicle before taking it off. In fact, it is best to remove Zaino after it is dry on the vehicle.
The absolute best thing about it, compared to any other polish/wax I have used over the last 20 years - none of that nasty, powdery white residue left over.
I used to have to go over my last car with a toothbrush getting all of the buildup wax gunk in al of the crevices. On a black car, it was not easy to miss.

So, I just have to say, it is a little more expensive in the beginning, both monetarily and time-wise, but definitely easier and less troublesome after the first application.

I just thought that I would mention that "the-wifes-av" was consistantly shiney, and the winner of the "Cleanest Avalanche Award" at Wild West 2002.

Thank you both VERY MUCH for the tips.

You are very welcome. Glad you are getting better results ;) The more coats, the more you will like it! We can do the Av and the Lincoln both in about 30 minutes now...a definite bonus!

Would like to try Zaino someday, just to see what all the fuss is about, or at least see a vehicle up close that has had Zaino done on it. Now that might change my mind!

With LG...Thinner is better.....but still a PIA to remove and leaves dust everywhere....IMO versus Zaino and KLasse..

LG does provide pretty good protection and shine and is a decent polymer....plus locally available........

And a slightly dirty car can be cleaned using Z6 in 10 minutes without having to wash it. (usually i duster it off then Z6).

I just tried Klasse. It was a little bit of a challenge (since I like the easy ones). Does it get easier also?
