Any new headlight designs to look like the new models?

Thanks!
Yeah, I definitely like them more than the other Spyders I had. Only wish they were available with CCFL Halos.... But I'm gonna upgrade the LED's in the Halos or just swap out these for a set of TRUE LED Halos from TRS. Just gotta find the size.

Also quick mention... These XB LED fogs are absolutely awesome! The cutoff line is perfect and they actually "do something" other than look pretty like when I upgraded just the 5202 ref bulbs to LED's. Don't get me wrong, they looked great but didn't put out much more light than the stock bulbs.

Just sayin ;-)

Hi all. I'm on the lookout for any new type of headlight styles that look like the new GM trucks. These are the headlights I custom made, I painted the inside, tinted the turn signal, and put LEDs in all sockets. I disconnected the stupid halos:

How hard was it to do the white? I have an 08 Suburban the same white color and want to do the white like this.

My headlights need to be replaced. They're both the original and turning yellow. I've been looking at getting the aftermarket oem to match. Now I've been looking at this thread and like the ones install40 is using or these ones below.

I'm not knowledgeable with headlight but some internet research states the led halos are brighter than ccfl ones. I called the maker and he says the ccfl halos they make are brighter than LEDs. He also said they can have them wired before shipped so all I have to do is plug them in the port in my truck and the halo and dtrl all will work? Is this true? I have an after market dtrl bulb in my current ones and want to use it in my new ones. Do these ones have the same dtrl spot/bulb as the original lights I have on there now?

Hey Straykatt,

I had the ones in the link you posted but sent them back because the figment was off ( like a 1/2" gap on the sides )

So as for your question about the Halo rings....

CCFL is basically a Flourecent bulb and is much brighter than the LED halos unless you customize the ring yourself, BUT...... If you live in a cold climate they do not get very bright at all in the winter months. Those bulbs take a short time to "warm up"
Again, they look GREAT , but there is a slight trade off.

Both the set in the link and the set I ended up keeping are made by Venom inc.  You DRL will fit right in with no issue ( on both sets)

I like the set that I ended up with also because of the LED strip that goes completely across the lens. It looks amazing and I very bright as well as it accents the Halos nicely.  Also the adjusters are more accessible in my set.
I definitely recommend upgrading to the HID bulbs too! The stock H1 's are not bright at all
They will set them up for you and pre-wire them so all you have to do is basically mount the ballast
Good luck whichever option you choose ! Hope I helped

Yes, you definitely helped! Appreciate your feedback. I kind of link the first link, but want them to look/fit right. The ones you have look great too. Need to decide what to use. So if I get the ones you have the halo, led stripe and drl will all stay on if they pre wire them?  What h1 bulb you recommend? Can you share a link? Thank you!

Here is the link where I purchased them:

As far as the H1 bulb, all you need to do is tell them you want to add the HID set up and they will pre-wire it for you. Once you get the lights, it's all pretty much "plug & play" , there is a small harness attached to each of your lights ( marker, signal and DRL ) all you do is transfer the harness ( bulbs and all) into the new one. There are also a bunch of videos on these on YouTube .

It's really pretty simple. The hardest part is taking off the front clip ( bumper cover/grill) but that may be because I was by myself when I did mine so make sure you have a 2nd person if possible.

I also changed my Hi beam bulb since the housing was out too, I went with an Osram H1 bulb (link below)

What do you think of these ones by dtmoto? They're just like yours but offer the h1 bulbs with LED halos. I believe they're brighter than the ccfl halos?

That's actually the exact same light that I purchased from VIP MotoZ . It's just a different company selling it. It's made by Venom Inc (also known as Spyders manufacturer)
It's a really great light!!

I finally got my lights installed. However. The halos and led only stay on when the parking lights or the head lights (low beams) are on.. My friend help me and we used the drl wires to tap into. Any ideas how I can keep them on bothe the headlights and drl on?  Also I got these with the HID conversion. I didn't set them up down, left or right. At night I kind of have a black spot in the middle that doesn't light up due to the position of the bulbs. Any pointers to dial the HID in correctly?

Nice job.... They look great on your truck! (y)
Unfortunately, those light have to be adjusted at the time of installation because the adjuster is on the back of the housing(PITA). That's one of the things I liked about the newer style I installed on mine, because it's just a Phillips head screw and its positioned where it is accessible on both housings.
Just another note, make sure that the HID bulbs are in the socket ( housing) correctly, because if the bulb is in on even the slightest angle or not seated perfectly flat or properly, you will have a cut off line that's non existent or WAY off and the adjuster will have nothing to do with it.

Hope this help??
Again
Great job on the install !!!!!

I have those headlights and they are impossible to adjust on the truck. I think the only adjuster screw that is accessible on the truck is up and down. I adjusted mine when I had them pulled apart. There is a thread here that tells you how to get the drl's on full time. Look under "mods - lighting- interior and exterior".

Thanks! And thanks! I'll check out the thread on that. Hopefully I can somehow adjust the lights when there installed.

Can I legally drive with my parking lights on during the day? It's the only way to keep the halls and led on currently. Sorry for the silly question. I never turned on my parking lights while driving before.

You can always split the wire and use Diodes. This way you can connect them to your DRL so they are on during the day, and your parking lights, so they will be on at night.  Or you can just do what I did. I hooked my halos up to just the parking lamps and the LED "strips to my DRL. I didn't like the Halos on during the day ( because they weren't too bright) so I just connected the LED strip.
I believe there is someone on this forum who had a diagram for using the diodes. If not there is definitely something on YouTube.
