any problems with aftermarket roof racks??

has anyone had any problems with leaking or wind noise with roof racks non-factory installed roof racks?

is there anyone who installed the rack themselves?
 
Welcome to the club.

Try doing a search on the topic. I have read many prior posts regarding roof racks and installation.


 
I installed the factiry rack myself/....and no problems
 
You drilled the holes yourself?! :eek:

The place I purchased my nerf bars said that they could install the roof rack, but they would have to remove the headliner. Is this true?

nope....

There is a lengthy thread in here started by someone else...who gave me courage to install mine myself....and I have pics on my web site....

thanks for the info guys, i think i've built up enough confidence to take this task on myself. better if i screw it up than the dealer, so they can then begin the runaround
