Anybody heard of Land Master Nerf Bars?

Is Land Master commonly referred to as LM? If so I was wondering the same thing. Dealsofsteel have them for $180 + shipping. They don't have a center support but the price sure seems good if they're decent.
 
I got a set from dealsofsteel last month. Comparable to ICI. Mounts need a little tweaking to get the bar level. But once they are on they seem solid. They mount to the frame just under some large rubber bushings so there is some give when stepped on but nothing I can't live with. I weigh 200 pounds and they only seem to give about an inch when I step on them. The box did contain a middle brace with no way to mount it to the bar (unless you want to drill a hole in the Nerf Bar) this brace would have also mounted to the frame with the same large rubber bushing so I don't think it would have changed the "give" factor much, maybe just a little more stability in the center. Overall for $217.00 delivered I am very happy with the bars, they look great with my Westin Bull Bar and the kids now find it much easier to get in and out of the beast. Used the money I saved to purchase a stainless steel grill insert! :D Hope this helps!
 
I have the Black Land Master Bars, also from Deals of Steel. I won an Ebay bid for $99. The killer was the shipping costs ($85). I'm happy with the manufacturing of the bars, but like Bluestar said, the mounts are the weakest point.

Bluestar, what did you do to the mounts get a more level install ??

For the price, I can't complain (or I already would have). They serve their function, and like Bluestar, I can live with a little give. Install was VERY easy, but I think that I would like to be able to make use of the middle brace.

My only advice is that you get what you pay for.

The bars came with 4 2" spacers even though the directions only called for you to use one on each of the rear mounts and none on the fronts. When I installed them that way the front was higher than the rear so I used the extra spacers on the front and trimmed the back with some heavy duty washers the exact diameter of the spacers in order to get them level.

P.S. I noticed that I have a negative Karma all of a sudden. Got any idea what's up with that? Just wondering ???:8:

It's been really Freakin' cold here but as soon as I get a chance I will take some shots of the bars and the mounts and post them for you guys.

I wish there was some way to know who gave me the negative. I always try to be helpful and respectful whenever possible. I just don't understand who would give me a negative. I guess I shouldn't worry too much about it, it looks like the long-timers all have considerable negatives to balance out the positives. Just a little aggravated though! :8: :8: :8:
 
Don't worry about the negative guys. It is just a thing. I still get upset when I get one though :6: I think somebody always gives someone their first one as soon as you are able to get it. I will give you both a good one to cheer ya up (y)
