I plan to go to denver/boulder area (about 5 hours south of rapid city on U.S 85 to I-25) after 3-5 days at the black hills, and then swing down to denver/boulder area to meet up with the local fan club members there, and plan a 2-3 day trip through the rockies, i guess this only applies to member's with 4wd AV's, anybody in? ?I haven't decided what day yet to leave rapid city because i'd like to work with other members as for a good time to go. Come on, i don't want to go by myself. The distance back to millwaukee/chicago area from denver is basically the same as rapid city, give or take 25-50 miles.

hey avialanche, i might be up to something along those lines depends on the g/f and her time off from work. I'm planning on being in rapid city mon-fri and then possiable heading down that way for a day or 2.
Bubba, great i'm glad that you and your gf are considering this, let me know when it's definite, see if you can get anybody else to consider this plan, thanks, the more that go, the more fun it will be.

I think that sounds like fun. I will talk to the members of the great lakes chapter that are going together to rapid city. some of them have reservations for the whole week, so they may not be able to go. we will have to see how the hotel and campgroung would deal with the reservations issues. I for one will be intgerested in doing this.
We can plan this a little more when we get there also.

Dave, thanks for considering this, i look forward to disscussing this further, i suppose we'll be meeting at blue top gtg next weekend, perhaps we could discuss it then also, in the meantime if you want, call up the campground and hotel in rapid city and see how flexible they are about shortening the reservations.
