Looking to see how comfortable this option is during the summer. My AC works great but my back cooks on trips over a couple of hours with my current leather seats. If anyone has this option let me know because I know the later AVs has this as a option

The wife's 2014 Charger has ventilated seats and I love them in the summer. It keeps air circulating so you don't sweat.

This is one of those options you can do without, but probably don't want to once you have it. It's like the heated steering wheel in her car; in the winter it's the best thing since sliced bread. Both the heated seat and the heated steering wheel come on automatically when the temperature is below about 40*.

I have these in the Av - the cooled seats are wonderful; like MBT said, one of those things that sounds silly until you have used it. Even on cool days, we use the cooling feature on long trips to keep from getting sweaty backs. Love them !

My truck has the cooled seats and I use that feature a lot. I start with the high fan setting and then step it down if I get chilly. Also, the perforated leather is a little more comfortable than the non-perforated leather. When I traded my '08 (heated only) for the '13 (heated/cooled), the difference was immediately noticeable to both me and my wife. Like those Canadian car guys say on TV: "Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Hell, yes!"

I have this feature and love it.  Although I must say lately it has taken a LONG time for the seats to cool down.  Thinking something might be up with mine.

I test drove an Optima with them a couple weeks ago, it wasn't too cold coming out of the seats like my mom's old Ram. The Dodge ones made it feel like I was sitting in a puddle of water

Love the cooled seats. Makes a long drive MUCH more comfortable, and it seems to work flawlessly. You don't notice it immediately, but after a while you realize you are not getting the sweaty back. I am in Dallas, and my AV is black on black.

I guess you guys talked me into another mod,

Does anyone know if you get the door switch and a complete seat that has the perf leather and coolong fans in, if the wiring is the same from a LT to LTZ?  I have wanted to do this mod but after looking at after market cooling kits I think I could do it cheaper by getting a seat from a wrecked LTZ?

On the Gen 2s(07-13) it is different, there is a module under the passenger seat. So no it's not plug and play on the 03-06 or 07-13

I am really wanting to do this too, swap the seats for A/C ones. Being down here in south florida i think i would use it more than heated seats that i have. specially seeing how it is christmas week and it is 83 degrees

There is a difference between ventilated and cooled. For ventilated you need the perforated surface, the fans and a way to control the fans. For cooled there needs to be plumbing to direct the A/C air into the seats, otherwise all you get is ambient air sucked up from the floor.

Actually the Av cooled seats may have thermoelectric coolers built in. But I am not certain, it may draw cool air from the ducts in the center console.

My 2010 LTZ has heated/Cooled seats.  I hear a fan when either side is turned on cool. They are fantastic on hot summer days.

Good to see you guys like them, most time I put a towel on the seat since I put leather seats in.

It may cost a small fortune to add them, starting with you have to buy the seats then get new covers since they will be from Denali or Escalade for the 03-06

I still think that it might be worth it

I think so also, I'll just use a switched ign circuit and put a on/off switch in.
