I have a company who wants me to give them feedback on what Avalanche owners want done in carbon fiber. ?Please list anything you would like in C/F so I can send it to him.

? ? ? ~Joel

? ? ? ? LIST:
1. ? Center Console Lid ('03)
2. ? Dash Kit ('02)
3. ? Taillight Covers
4. ? Fan Shroud
5. ? Engine Cover
6. ? Sill Plates
7. ? Electric Box Cover
8. ? Cladding
9. ? Steering Wheel
10. Bed Panels
11. Head Light Covers
12. License Plate Frame
13. Mirror Cover
14. Wind Deflector
15. Vent Visors
16. Spoiler
17. Air Filter Box Cover
18. Door Handle Panel
19. A/C Knobs and Headlight Knob
20. Gas Door
21. Hood

I have been looking at complete dash kits for mine. Have an 02 Summit white with gray/graphite inter. and thought the traditional CF look would add something to the overall look.

I desperatly want a lid for the middle seat back on the bench that opens towards the passenger side instead of towards the rear of the truck..

Steering wheel,
Bed Panels ?>:D (<------Big $$$)
Head Light covers, (<----- Had these on my Maxima)
License Plate Frame

Choice of color combination. (ie. Black/Gray, White/Tan, Black/Red)

Big Dog
:B:

I'm going to send once I get to about 20 items. Maybe I should do a vote too. Can I have input on that Should I Do A Vote?

Now if they could be the first with a hod that looked like this I would be on board in a NY minute, assuming the price was reasonable - 600 - 700.

:cautious:
Interior:
1. Center Console, Ring molded
2. Dash Kit, molded
17. Door Switch panels molded for all four doors
18. Rear Center Console, molded

Now let me try to discribe this one. On the door panel, interior, where the door handle is located, there is a small panel there. How about a piece to fit it?

Engine:
4. Fan Shroud
5. Engine Cover
7. Electrical Box Cover
19. Air Filter Box Cover

Of course all molded.
Some one mentioned different colors of CF, pretty good idea.

Here Is What Info I Got Back On Everything Asked:

Joel,
Hi! Got your message.
I kicked around some of these...........I showed it to some of the other
owners............do not take offense to some of the comments.......Like I
said before, you have to realize that companies make products for vehicles
that have high sales rates..........some of these will probably make it into
production sometime this year........others will not because they are too
cost prohibitive and SUV Concepts would never see their money back on some
of these.

Here you go:

1. Center Console Lid ('03) - This is a maybe. It could easily be
bought and overlayed. However, dont know how many people would really
purchase it?

2. Dash Kit ('02) - We do not do dash kits.

3. Taillight Covers - We do not do taillight covers.
There are too many companies out there making cheap carbon fiber imitations.

4. Fan Shroud - This will almost definitely make
it as a part of the engine dress up kit that will be made for this vehicle.

5. Engine Cover - "
"

6. Sill Plates - Maybe.

7. Electric Box Cover - Will be a part of the engine dress
up kit.

8. Cladding - Way to cost prohibitive for
the amount of people who could probably afford to buy that much carbon
fiber. You would be looking at probably a $6000
retail for all of
the cladding.

9. Steering Wheel - Steering wheels are difficult to
do. There are already some manufacturers of imitation carbon fiber.

10. Bed Panels - Again, way to cost prohibitive
for most people who would be willing to fork out the dough! Probably a
$4000 bill.

11. Head Light Covers - We do not do these.

12. License Plate Frame - Will be making sometime in mid summer
for all vehicles.

13. Mirror Cover - Will not do. Other companies
out there making cheap carbon fiber imitations.

14. Wind Deflector - Maybe. There has been some
interest shown in this product.

15. Vent Visors - Will not make it. No interest
when we did our surveys.

16. Spoiler - What type? A rear spoiler,
front spoiler/bumper combo? Not clear on this one.

17. Air Filter Box Cover - Will be a part of the engine dress
up kit.

18. Door Handle Panel - We have done these for some
celebrity vehicles.......way too costly for production.......about $850 to
$1K per panel.

19. A/C Knobs and Headlight Knob - These might make it. Again, we are
looking to see the overall interest level. But these would be cheap to
make.

Well, there you have it. This was the feedback I received with the other
owners and design team members. I will try to push what I can. Keep me
posted with anything else your club is doing or would like to see.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Matt McClain

don't even ask. just post the pics dude. ;D

i have a few,carbon fiber ideas.

the "drains" on the top sides of the bed, up by the sail panels.

a, hide panel, between the hood, over the plastic ridges, that the wipers come out from.

a, cap over the chrome grill bar, between the headlights

off the wall idea, for av, carbon fiber would be high$$

a custom bed panel..that would allow you to have midgate down, and window out, and would follow the back edge of the sail panel.

this would extend the room inside truck, to follow angle of sail panel, back to center bed panel(#2)

strobin avalanche, i'm modded out for now, but not for long....g/c
