Anyone Know The Product Life Of The Blazer Extreme

My daughter is 16 and I promised her a new car. She was looking at a 2002 Chevy Blazer Extreme. Does anyone know the future product life of this model or body style? I'd hate to get her the last of a model style because the vehicle looks extra old in just a few years.
