Ok, this is the same weekend as WWII, but for those of us that are unable to make the trip, this will be a blast here in town.

When: Oct 11
Where: Truckin Nationals at Firebird Raceway
http://www.firebirdraceway.com/03events/03truckin.htm

We will meet as a group just off I-10 and Chandler RD in the Hooters parking lot, (west of I-10, north side of Chandler) and caravan to Firebird. We will meet up between 10:00am and 10:30am. Departing for Firebird Raceway at 10:30am

Basically we will spend part/most/however long you want to stay looking at custom trucks. I have recieved an invite for our group by Drew Brothers Customs to join them for food at thier exhibit. If we want to sit down for a bit and take a break from walking they will have a covered area that we are welcome to use as well.

One of the trucks they will be exhibiting is thier Avalanche SS superchared truck. This is the truck that many of us will get to see at the Sept 27th meet and greet. They have also offered to addvertise the Av club, all we have to do is bascially provide them with copies of the brochure, which I will be doing.

From what I have heard of past Truckin nationals the Saturday is the best day to go. This is why I am planning this for the 11th.

Ok, now who is going to join me for a day looking at awsome trucks, and having fun with fellow truck enthusiasts.

A special thanks to Rich at Drew Brothers Customs for the generous invite. www.drewbrotherscustoms.com

Grey Avalanche and I just returned from the Truck'n Nationals at Firebird raceway. It was alot of fun. So many trucks to look at its almost unreal.

amd1900mp,

You forgot to metion that there were quite a few Av's there too >:D

Grey

Now that you mention it, I should say we saw 6 or so Avalanches on display. The Drew Brothers white WBH was sitting on 24's look'n real sweet. The others we all lifted to some degree and looking sharp.

We met at Hooters for a couple cold beverages and had our Av's washed while we visited and enjoyed the sights. We should consider that location for a December GTG. They are trying to get car clubs to gather there like a mini Pavilions. Anyone interested in discussing a December GTG at Hooters?

Peace out!
Todd
