ATTENTION: Buffalo Chapter/Western NY Chapter

First off, let me introduce myself by telling you that I'm a new member of the Buffalo/Western NY Chapter. I live in Rochester, NY. To be more specific, the movie theater you went to out here (Tinseltown) is about 5 minutes from me. I'm originally from Hamlin (down by the Ontario State Parkway). I'm 25, married, and we are both Registered Nurses. I just got my 2002 Black Z-71 Av Dec. 1st, 2003. Now on to the question....

I may have a contact with someone that can make us some decals for this Chapter. I think it would be a great thing....especially for the upcoming Niagara Falls GTG! I see that other Chapters have decals. So, what I'm looking for is some input on interest, design, color, etc. I have a few ideas already, but I'd like to get your ideas rolling first. State any ideas, no matter how ridiculous sounding...something may stem from it. Feel free to PM/email me also. Have fun with it.

I think this is a great idea! I want to publicly thank AvalancheKurt for taking the initiative on this.

Besides design ideas, there are a couple of other questions for the local members:

• How many decals would you be interested in?
• How much would you be willing to pay?

I'm just looking to figure out the demand for them, not looking for a comitment to order at this time. I'll start: personally, I would want two, and would be willing to pay up to $5 each, the same price as the national decals.

I'm no artist, but I did have one idea... Go with the same general design as the national logo, but replace the central bowtie with a local graphic. An outline of Western New York is my first thought, but it might not be immediately recognized. So, my second thought is an outline of the entire New York state (which is very recognizable) with Western New York highlighted somewhow (maybe by color?)

I'll bet MrBill can come up with some interesting ideas (hint, hint!)

Am I allowed to be included in this? I'd be interested in 3 @ $5 I like what you did SS especially the lower one. But I was thinking about maybe enlarging the state and remove the circle to do something different.

Of course, quapaw, you and anybody else can get in on this. And MrBill, when you have time, I'm sure you'll be able to get some great ideas on the table.

However, based on recent developments at the national level, the word from Chief is that he would like all local chapters to suspend any work on our own decals for the time being. So, with that, I ask that we suspend this train of discussion until we get some further direction on the matter.

I think I'm going to try and keep the "Business" within "Da Family." I'm going to talk it over with TribalAv and see what he can do for us concerning the decals.
