Looking at a 2011 LT with rear view camera and display in mirror. It comes with auto dimming outside rear view mirrors. Is the cam display mirror auto dimming as well, or is there an old school flip lever on the mirror for night driving?

Pretty sure if the outside one does it (probably driver side only), then so does the inside. See if you can get a pix of the RPO codes in the glove box. It should say it in there.

Thanks for the reply. Was researching an Av I want to buy, and RPO code is DRC according to the build sheet. Did a bit more digging and it's listed as light sensitive, so I guess that means auto-dimming!

the answer here I'm sure is model dependent.  Neither my '03 z77 ltz or my '13 lt have/had the old school lever.  Auto-dim I think *may* be standard now...

My 2005 2500 With accordion tow mirrors does not auto dim, only the rear view mirror dims.

If the rear view mirror does not have a toggle on the bottom and has lights on the bottom with switches it is an auto dimming mirror. Since you said yours has the display in it I am assuming it also has Onstar. That is the most expensive mirror setup and yes has the auto dim. If your rear windows are tinted it can be hard to notice the dimming feature. I have the same mirror on my CTS and you could really see it dim before I had the windows tinted.
