Hey all - 07 LTZ.
Installed 3.9ohm/50W resistors on all 4 shocks as they are now aftermarket. The Service Suspension code comes on and off depending where I park in yard, which leads me to believe it’s a ride height sensor issue. Is there a way to disable those sensors i.e. pull fuse? Or perhaps other solutions to disable?

Also are there other factors that will set off Service Suspension message? Thanks

Did you leave the air pump installed and hooked up?

You're probably going to have to put the resistors on the sensors too, as long as they are hooked up it will be constantly reading the height of the vehicle. I disabled my front electronic shocks and lifted it 3", I still have my height sensors connected but did the resistors on the shock itself, I installed a shock extender on the rear shocks and with a little bit of measuring and modifying I am still using the rear air ride. I love it! It still rides as smooth as factory.

Could be the air pump is not reading any pressure or a ride height senor has gone bad.

I'm thinking the air pump, even though present and plugged in, is not happy about having nothing to air up.

An air pump with blown out air shocks will run unit it burns itself up.

Just removing the air shocks will not stop that from happening.

Maybe the air pump is shot and that is giving the error message.

On older trucks, you could remove the shocks and air pump and remove the RTD (Real Time Damping) fuse with the battery out to disable that feature in the computer.

I am not sure if that trick still works in later models.

I’m leaning towards this. When I park on my lawn where it’s uneven is when the message pops up. When it’s sitting flat in a parking lot it’s gone. Which resistors are recommended for the ride height sensors?

I used a 50w6ohmJ resistor. I'm including a picture of one, you can get a pack of 4 on Amazon for about $8.00. They also come with 8 quick connects. But I Recommend soldering the connections. The connectors will corrode over time.

Thanks man! Did you put those right on the ride height sensors (just like the shocks)?
Yes, make sure you unplug the ride height sensors and you just hook them up to the 2 wires and it will cancel out the message telling you to service the suspension. You're Welcome! 🙂

No much for help with your issue but I feel your pain I have a 97 Lesabre with the same idiotic system on it, the car at one point was literally lifting up and down driving down highway. I got so sick of the constant problems the system is littered with I bypassed it and built an on board 125 psi compressor and tank system capable of running air tools and the like off of and then integrating the air lines off that so I had total control without dropping 700 bucks on a conversion kit
