I plan to convert my 02 Av for camping purposes. Living in Colorado I want to snowbird a bit to get away from the winter months.

I plan to remove the back seat and make that the sleeping area.

The rest I am not unsure of as to how I re-design the bed area. I may make a tubular aluminum frame and build it up like a slide in camper set up.

I'll try to post pictures of how I go about it. Any suggestions, ideas, let me know

I know you have mentioned this project in other threads, have you read in the older threads on this site about camping setups from other members?
You seem to be a man who enjoys a project and DIY which is all a question over your time, talent and budget as to the limit of mods that can be done to an AV.
My guess is that you need to clearly state how many people will be using this setup and what creature comforts do you want or need....
Not sure why you need to remove the rear seats since they fold flat, you can just add a carpeted/upholstered plywood floor if you want it flat. See threads about cargo/dog platform for plans and photos. Either with or without seats it probably will be a one person sleep area though.
Several members have enjoyed the AV tent made by GM or aftermarket and I believe some members have kept the bed panels in place and either slept on top or underneath them depending on where they stowed the equipment and those camping threads will have more info and photos.
Good luck with your research and mods.
