alright, i'm trying to make the best of a unfortunate incident.
Tonight I was driving a friend home on campus and cut through the football stadium parking lot. There's an awkward hill and all the slush that had melted during the day froze, but i wasn't too worried about it. As it turns out, for one reason or another, it was worse than i thought and my antilocks didn't engage when they should have (some future testing will determine if they're ok or not) But next thing i knew, i was perpindicular with a guard rail, shattering my front bumper, bending back one of the supports, ripping the grille (good thing i didn't get that custom one yet) and slightly dislodging the light (i think that will be ok once the support gets bent back/replaced).
Anyways, before i buy a new plastic bumper, I wanted to see if there were any different options out there, from steel to other custom jobs. The only mods i've seen have been back bumper, but i'm open to any ideas anyone has, and if there's something better, now would be the time for me to get it. I'm going for estimates wednesday, and after that, assuming i get it fixed here instead of at home, my temporary mod will be a little bit of duct tape on the edges, with "OOPS I F$*#ed UP" spray painted next to it on the soon to be replaced bumper. Like I said, i'm open to any ideas
