AV Losing Its Memory

I have a 2003 AV equipped with the convenience package that gives you the DIC and leather seats with memory. It appears that the truck sometimes forgets the memory settings and reverts back to a default setting. My seat moved to the wrong position, and the code for the garage door opener was also lost. I have about 2500 miles on the truck and this has only happened one other time. Or at least I think it happened one other time. Since the problem happens rarely, I just thought that I somehow managed to screw up the settings myself, but now I'm starting to think it's not me since it happened again.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Does anyone know where the module is located that holds the memory, maybe I just need to reseat the connector. I suppose I could take it in for repair, but I can see it now, the tech is going to say, "there's nothing wrong, it's just your imagination."

Are you using the same FOB? I was just informed by the guys here that the FOB's are coded for the memory functions. They should have a 1 & 2 on them.

If you have programmed the memory functions correctly then this could be your problem. I did it all the time and wondered why my radio had different presets on it every time I got it. It was because I had a habit of using the other FOB occasionally and when you use it to unlock your doors it knows who you are.

Check this our first. If you have always been using the same FOB then take it to dealer to check it out.

Yes, I keep the number 2 FOB put away in the house. I had both memory setting one and two setup the same.

I haven't had any problems yet. ?Other than someday I might actually get that 8 way seat and the bolsters and the lumbar support where I REALLY want it.
