AV Sounds Like A Coffee Pot.....

I'm not sure if anyone is having this problem or not...
But, before I take it in I'll throw this out...

Major winter storm last night here in Minnesota...14 plus
inches of the white stuff...taking my son to a district playoff game for hockey offered many 4x4 opportunitees.....what fun!

OK...heres the issue. My AV has always gurgled a bit when running with the heat on....it hasn't been that cold, so, not a whole lot of need to run high heat.

Last night though, in white out conditions, major defroster heat required.

It sounded like a 25 cup coffee percolator under my dash. I don't know if I have air in the cooling sytem and that is whats making the noise as it passes through the heater core or what. But annoying!

Anyone else?

Mine sounds fine in all of this white stuff (also from MN), also it's a boat load of fun to drive in this stuff.

Stopped on my way into work this morning to pull a car out of the median. It was a new explorer EB. hehehe
Had to pull my "Remove to tow a Ford" hitch plug right in front of the guy and his wife.

How'd your son do in the playoff?

Got hammered 7-2, one more game on saturday and that should conclude a long season.

Snow....yep...fools don't know how to drive in it. Accidents galore yesterday. Glad to see you could be of
some assistance. I love pulling people out of the ditch. ;)

Its amazing how well the AV handles the white stuff.

Ready for spring, though. Like to see my AV clean for longer than 24 hours!

Where do I get one of those hitch covers for my truck?

I have a 2002 forest green Z71 and it made the same noise when it would rain.I think it was coming from the sunroof, anyway only heard it a few times.Have not heard it in about 3-4 months and we have had lots of rain.

I heard it too ??? I f only it was a built in coffee pot :0: Anyway, it made the noise with cold weather, now that its warm and not using the heat, I have not heard it anymore. Guess Iam fine until next winter >:D

As long as it doesn't sound like an espresso maker, you'll probably be OK. ;D
