Hey!! That's the best photo of me in many years!

Thanks guys, are they worth buying, are they well-made?

Yes. and Yes. If you want a deal on the one pictured please let me know. They recently came out with on that has a rain tarp off the back... let me tell you, here in the ever rainy Pacific Northwest, any chance to get more time out of the rain the better. So I will sell you this one (still in mint condition - though used several times) so I can get on with a rain tarp.

The first time you put it up, it may take you 15 minutes... once you know what to tighten down and when they really go up and stay up quickly.

We bought a full size air mattress from a local sporting goods store (nothing 'official GM') and it fits nicely. One cool thing is the ability to turn the radio on and let it auto turn off in 15 minutes while you fall asleep.

The tent rolls up in a nice small size too.

We are using it on the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival - April 17, 2004.

We haven't used our larger regular dome tent since we bought the AV tent!

with the tent, you can also drop the midgate and glass for the extra room too right?

Yes... you have the entire bed to use....

someone posted where they did a double decker bed using the bed covers...

great way to store the kids for the night ;D

I'm getting one of those, the extra awning thing sounds good. End of summer my old tent went in a shed at a cabin. I hope they are in stock, maybe I should get one now or order it ? Those were better pics of tent than I've seen. (y)

Cisco,
That is perfect, I have an airbed that fits. Love the canopy, maybe I can get the wife to camp more if she doesn't have to leave the AV.

Yep... that's our preferred way to go. Climbing out through the rear doors of the AV was easier than off the tail gate.

I usually slap the Cooler under the tailgate and that makes the perfect step the next morning. :)

That's a pretty good idea. :0:

You could just reach down into the cooler to get some oj first thing in the morning without having to leave the AV!

read this thread http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com/cafcna/index.php?board=7;action=display;threadid=23937 for part number and where to order
GMpartsdirect is best price I found

Anybody got a part number for the tent with the rain tarp?

Dave :B:

12498949 - Tent

12498027 - Mattress

Just a recommendation. Go and purcahse the mattress (Full Size) from Walmart. The GM Parts version is really not worth the extra money. Take it from me. ;)

SB

Here's what the inside looks like without the GM air mattress. There's plenty of room.
