Just more reason to get the AV  :B:

These numbers are a large part of the reason that I went w/ the Av. To be honest, it was not going to be my first choice. I started out looking at the Ram, and the the F-150, and the Toyota, and then the Siverado, all in their club/crew/quad cab configurations. We have 2 kids, (18 and 3), so the back seat was a primary consideration. NONE of the other trucks had rear-seat room or comfort to compare w/ the Av. Further, why compromise bed length to get interior room if you don't have to? When I did finally test drive the Av, I was sold. Stunningly, for a GM product, it was well conceived, showed some innovative thinking, and was well executed. The only negative that I have found is the rearward visibility, but I have simply learned to be a little cautious, and think ahead about where I park. I think you'll see more and more trucks w/ Av attributes in the future, as it only makes sense. My 2 cents.

Nice to see the stats. Strigil, your points are quite valid. The rear visibility was a problem; however, solved with a back-up sensing system. Best thing I ever did...and now even the wife will back it up!
;D

The 8' 1" bed length is not accurate in this comparison. For when one converts and uses the bed to this length, the AV becomes essentially a standard cab pick-up.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I would have to agree with axtoxr.

As much as I love my AV, the numbers do not tell the truth in comparison with Crew and Quad cab trucks. Yes, the AV dose have the larger bed when converted,
but?
Now what are you going to do with the other folks that traveled with you to help you load your AV? ???

No truck can "do it all", but the Av came much closer than a crew cab could even think of coming for my needs, with more style, a shorter wheelbase, and a better ride. I admittedly don't haul much.

One thing is for sure though, passengers aside, there is a big difference between 6'-6" and 8'-1".
