Great,,, the kid studying to be a legal drug dealer is confused. Damn, I hope I never get sick and have to visit you at work

Yes Ian, meet at the normal gas station. You may be able to meet up with James if he's staying about the same area Fri night.
Don't blame him... he is probably  still a little messed up from all we put him through at my house this past weekend.  :mo:

Unfortunately we are not going to make it this year, its been a stressful couple of weeks with drivers license, (30 question HAZMAT test, ugh) three doctor appts for me,  (DOT renewal) and Molly going every week for  the last four, Monday she's going for a ERG to make sure her retinas are ok and stable enough for cataract surgery, then the following week she will probably have the cataract surgery if all goes well.  Molly says its good that dad worked some decent overtime, but dad says gotta try n save a buck  lol  soooo who's gonna bring me a pizza, lol, we'll be thinkin about you guys, I really would rather spend my birthday with our extended family.

Made the Mrs. tear up that you guys weren't going to make it this year. Hope all goes well with miss molly.

We are heading that way this afternoon. As we get older we like to drive less and less so 7 hours total drive time + the GTG in one day would be to much for us. We plan on staying over night in Piketon then driving to Athens Saturday morning, eat pizza and visit for a while then head home. I found Diner 23 in Waverly and we may drive up there for dinner tonight, has anyone tried it? It is the old silver diner car and looks good online.......if your in the area this evening message me on Facebook & maybe we can meet up.

We have eaten at Diner 23 a couple of time.  It's pretty good, and there are a few interesting shops in the strip mall behind it that you can browse if you are so inclined.

oops, just did a double check and I was thinking of Route 33 Diner over in Rockport.  The two look very much the same.  Don't have any experience with Diner 23.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and I am happy to say we will be driving the av.  (y) We drove it last weekend for the first time since Nationals to our little Hillbilly Hotdog GTG and the suspected bad wheel assembly proved to us that was indeed the case. We were able to make it home and Taney took it and had it fixed this morning. $60 labor sure beats seeing all our friends bust their butts at WVWWW to fix it like last time. Ya know the last 3 GTG's it has been driven  too it has broke down and all those Ian planned.  :help:  Could it be his GTG's are the problem or is it the fact I was driving each time its's had problems? Anyhow Jim is planning this GTG and we will let Taney drive tomorrow  just to be on the safe side.

Where's the like button?  I've got my mouth set for great pizza.  See you tomorrow.

A "heads up" to those first to arrive at the church parking lot, the entrance may be blocked.
This is to keep out the OU homecoming crowd.
Avalanches are welcome, so simply move the barrier and let yourself in.

I'm at the Hampton Inn.

I didn't know where we were going to be, I left that up to Ashley. So we are also at the Hampton off exit 1 in Marietta. We just got here about 10min ago.

I didn't even ask where we were staying until we were about 15min away from Marietta...

Got in around 9pm and what would know, I pulled in behind a Black Diamond edition , and I said to myself, 'I know that AV', sure enough it was Ian and Ashley.

Thanks Ian for the  (y) on my truck, wish I could've brought the AV but had a couple problems that couldn't get fixed in time.

Just an FYI, I'm going to head out at 0845 roughly, I'm going to stop at the Exxon for some #2, which is right across I77 from the meetup spot.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I smell a cake bakin, yummmy  pineapple upside down cake, my fav!  Molly misses you guys also and we do as well

Just got home and like always we had a great time. Thanks goes to Kelly & her mom for the great cookies. Thanks to Mrs OldVmer for the candy it was great! Good seeing everyone again.

Good pizza, great trucks, and amazing friends... once again made for a wonderful day!!!  We had a great time seeing everyone! Big thanks to Jim for planning today.  :B: I hope everyone made it home safe and sound. Can't wait till we have the chance to all GTG again.

Had a good time, pizza was good, great to see everyone again. One thing though, next year if the weather report in the morning calls for sun block, I will listen. Couldn't believe you can still get sun burned this time of year up north.

Yeah, a few of us got a little red.
james, thank you again for making the long trip.

Nice surprise to see hubcap today, it has been a while.

It still amazes me that this GTG continues to be successful year after year.
Thank you all for coming.
And thank you all for donating to the church, we collected $61.

jomomma still has some issues with sun poisoning, that is why I set up the umbrella.

I usually do have a large golf umbrella with me, that I could've used, but forgot it.

What another great get together! I am glad this one continues to be a success each year!  (y) It is one of my favorites!

I also got a little sunburned, but didn't notice until we made it about halfway back home  Ashley asked me why my face was so red...

The WVAvalanche clan, ashley, and  I were able to plan out a quick eating with WVBubba, Mrs. Bubba, and Bub Jr. on the way home :) It was great to see them and catch up as well!

Thanks GBT for another successful year, and everyone else for making the trip!! Its always great to see everyone!  (y)
