Avalanche Pizza, October 2 2021

Its been sometime since the Nats, 4 years right

ohiobellboy, travel to Avalanche Pizza for you isn't exactly limited.
A bit of a drive, but hope you can make it.

Hoping to see you and Debi!
It's one of those things where "the names will be changed to protect the innocent" things.

I'm supposed to not travel beyond "X" amount of miles according to disability rules but as long as my name can't be found tied to an event using Google, they won't know.

@GoldBowTie I hope you and Carol have recovered from your "R" rally last weekend! I saw some pictures on Facebook and it looked MASSIVE!

It really makes me want to plan another National GTG :)
Not yet fully recovered. I'm good, but the R is still dirty.
I'll be working on scrapbook pages probably until Christmas.

For anyone wanting to travel with me to Avalanche Pizza...
You may meet me at Summit Racing about 7:30 if it is not out of your way.
Then the usual meeting at the Subway/Dairy Queen/gas station at exit 93 off I77 and planning to leave there by 8:15.
We will stop again for bathroom break at the gas station at exit 6 off I77 around 9:30.
Then across 550 to Athens.

It looked like an amazing GTG! Glad you have another vehicle to scrapbook with, to occupy your "free time" LOL

2016 Was the last one I went to, that was Charlotte. Pigeon Forge was 2015. It has been so long :dunno:

I do want to revive Wild and Wonderful Weekend for 2022 if at all possible. Assuming COVID has been brought back under control and folks are willing to attend.

We are leaving after work Friday, I get off at 6. The drive straight to Athens is the same distance as driving to Marietta, so we are going to head straight up and stay in Athens Friday night and just meet at the church on Saturday morning so we can "sleep in" a bit

The last Nats that I went to was Tybee Island in 17. I'm still trying to forget Charlotte 16

Ah I forgot about the STI revival for 2017 Nats, and I can imagine that those of you with the misfortune of waking up to the thievery would like to forget it happened altogether.. You especially given all you had to go through! :-[

No guarantee we'll meet up in Bolivar and there's a slim chance we'll catch up at exit 6. The plan is to get down there with 1/2 an hour of you guys if we can still make it.

Yeah it was really $h!tty. I will say that I did love the guys that stood by me when I parked my rigs right at the front door. And the fact that all of us were packing.😁

We will be heading out this evening when I get off work. Bringing the RAM this year. See ya'll tomorrow for PIZZA :)

So, are we all set for tomorrow, it's my Birthday and I have never been to one, I'm really looking forward to meeting some of those that I have talked to on here. I live in Eastgate somewhere by Frito, but I've never met him either, lol

Looks like im going to have to back out of this year's GTG.

Got laid off last friday (supply shortages suck) so i'm cutting back on my expenses for the time being. Checked my finances last night and The fuel to make the drive is about a month of groceries for me. So im going to sit this one out and put my free time towards doing some bodywork.

This covid has been a thorn in many people's sides, you must live pretty far away from the GTG site to use that much gas, I'm guessing you don't eat much, lol, but I know you have to ration what ever you can to survive these days. Good luck with your body work and maybe we'll see you next time.

Dude, where were you? We were looking forward to meeting you.

Another successful Avalanche Pizza GTG. Thank you all for coming out. The pizza was good, the weather was great, the company was better. Sad that no "newbies" made it, but we did have a couple unexpected attendees - nice surprise. Hope to make next year a special event to mark the 20th anniversary.

Great get together with great people, and great pizza!!! The weather was perfect, or almost a little too hot at times

Can’t wait to make next year even better on the 20th anniversary!

It was great seeing everyone, and I’m glad we got to come; yet again!

I snapped a few pictures, but didn’t get many! I was too busy eating and talking.

I forgot to report that we donated $110 to the church.
You guys are so generous, especially considering it is not expected.
Thank you. :yourock:

Dude, where were you? We were looking forward to meeting you.
My apologies everyone, I was at the hospital, my daughter had twins and unfortunately one of them didn't make it, it was a great birthday gift, but heartwrenching to say the least. I hope to meet some of you in the future, maybe if we have a gtg here in Cincinnati I'll be able to make it, if not, I'll have to give it another try next year. Sorry! 🙄😔
