Even with the Covid-19 pandemic, it is time again to plan to attend our annual Avalanche Pizza GTG.
Assuming pandemic conditions have improved, or at least not gotten worse, we will do our annual parking lot pizza pig-out.
Please respect each other's space and use whatever personal protection equipment that sets your mind at ease.

I called Pastor Jim to make arrangements to once again use the church parking lot and restrooms.
We are set to use the First Baptist Church parking lot from 10:00 until 4:00.
The church will be open for us to use the restrooms.

Meet at the First Baptist Church in Athens at your leisure.
The First Baptist Church is located across the street from Avalanche Pizza.
336 East State Street
Athens, OH 45701

Please place your pizza order as early as possible once you arrive.
Or maybe call ahead while driving in?
Check out their on-line menu in the link and call 740-594-4664 to order.

Hi guys. Me again...

I know I’ve been pretty distant. With everything that’s happened, outside of work I’ve not been doing much... ?

As of now, I’m working that weekend, but that may change with my hours getting reduced and schedules changing, etc. To be honest, I’m not sure where I’ll Even be by The time October Rolls around, but put us down as a maybe.

I’ve not missed an Avy pizza since 2010, so I am hoping I can work things out to make it again this year so Ashley and I can see all of ya’ll.

Watching, if all is well we will try once again to make this GTG.

That screen name is a blast from the past.
I'm guessing the forum software update has a glitch.

Glad to see you around again. I totally understand your absence and hope things start to look up for you.

Yeah, that would be nice. Next Thursday would have been Greyson's 1st birthday. Work situation is still all jacked up at the moment. 2020 has truly not been our year...

It's good to hear from you 4x4dreamer I'll try to make this GTG also.

I don't think 2020 is anyone's year, we had to sell our house to keep from losing it, SMH, but things are starting to get better, we made a little $ off of the sale and we have since bought a condo. We are going to try and make it to the GTG. I'm a new member and haven't attended any, but I'm definitely going to try and get there and meet some of the other members.

Hi,

Pat & I also plan to attend this year if possible (COVID-19 restrictions and such), hope to see you all as we missed having /going to WWW this year.

Rich / N1NCZ

I talked to RCHeliguy yesterday and I think they are going to attend.

Hey GBT, Last year the gang at Avalanche Pizza told me they'd appreciate a heads up a few days in advance of the GTG so they prepare properly. May be worth a call to them that Tuesday or Wednesday to let them know we'll be coming.

I used to call ahead until several years ago. The last time I called to let them know we were coming, the guy who answered the phone seemed inconvenienced by my call and not concerned nor excited that we were coming. He told me that the number I called was for placing orders.
That year I considered getting my pizza at Papa John's right up the street.

Maybe it's because of the social distancing thing. Allot of restaurants are still open for carry out only.

Then it must be GBT, he is kinda Rowdy. >:D
