Avalanche Pizza, October 3 2020

For anyone wanting to travel with me...
You may meet me at Summit Racing about 7:30 if it is not out of your way.
Then the usual meeting at the Subway/Dairy Queen/gas station at exit 93 off I77 and planning to leave there by 8:15.
We will stop again for bathroom break at the gas station at exit 6 off I77 around 9:30.
Then across 550 to Athens.

Hi guys.

once again, I’ve been out of touch for some time. My work schedule completely changed and I’d been working all but Thursday's and Sunday’s.

Then I got injured on a fire call and broke my foot. I’ve been off work totally non weight bearing and casted for the last 3 weeks.

We may be able to make it depending on whether I can get my cast off this week and when my return to work date is.

I believe that mom and I will be there. Ashley has another engagement on Saturday, so she isn't able to come.

I'll be sporting my walker boot and knee scooter..

To all, sounds great. I have the '02 all ready to go. Will see you guys tomorrow. Masks are probably required to go inside to get pizza, bring them if you got them.

I wondered what you’d bring. Almost wondered if you might cruise the R down. ?

We’re AVless this year. It needs some things done and a set of tires, so we brought my truck instead. But at this point almost 2 decades of the club later it’s more about seeing everyone not what we’re driving! ?? I think this is year 11 of Avy pizza for me.

At least that’s what I keep telling myself ??

Sorry everyone, I'm not going to be able to get there, we had a sudden death in the family and I'm going to be attending a funeral, I was really excited and looking forward to meeting some of you in the club. I'll have to see you all at the next GTG.

I'm sorry for your lost.

I'm probably not going to make it. Too much to do around here. I also seem to be slowly losing coolant and don't know if I want to drive that far before sorting it out.

We had something come up last minute I cant get out of. Was hoping to have another 2002 there. Always next year. Have fun and eat a NUGE for me.

Well I'm not going to make it out there. Started my drive earlier, got down to Harrisburg and my brakes just gave out. Thankfully traffic was only moving at 25-30 and the shoulder was open. I was told by a service manager that the brakes were good 3 weeks ago, but I've towed 2 heavy trailers and one light trailer over the last ten days, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it. I think my rear brakes just had enough. No body damage and no injury to myself or others.

We are still planning on attending and are in the area now.

Glad it wasn't more serious, but sorry you won't be able to join us.

Just made it home a little bit ago. We had a great time today, and it was so great to see everyone again!!!!

The people and the pizza are worth the 3 hour drive ??

Now to snack on some leftovers! (For the next 4 days) ?

Capt.Crunch, sorry for your loss. We'll get together some day.
frito, you could have come without the Av. These days, most do.
avyfanohio, my 02 missed your 02. Oh, and we missed you too.
James, that stinks. Glad you got stopped safely.

Nice to see you all today.
Ended up having nice weather. The sun was warm.
We collected $61 for the church. We know it is not necessary, but is still a nice gesture. Thank you.

We sure enjoyed the day it was a beautiful day and great to see friends again! We are staying another night in the area and hope for good weather for the trip home tomorrow. Oh and I forgot to mention that for the first time ever we saw feral hogs, we saw three of them run across the road and scamper up a hill out on 550.

.
I know. Unfortunately, my Bimmer is out of commission too. I foolishly took it to somebody other than my regular Bimmer guy when my rear end let loose and they messed it up more than they fixed it. Honestly, I would have done a better job myself. My wife had to work so using her car was out of the question. We'll try to catch you all next year.

Glad to hear about a GTG , nice job!

I'm in the Cincinnati area and would like to attend a GTG somewhere in the future, not sure if we even have one here but it would be nice. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next one. I had to say goodbye to a great man yesterday and it was a good time, being able to see all the friends and family. It's amazing how he had touched the hearts of so many. We had over 100 bikes and a total of 334 people who attended. It was a great celebration of life.
