Avalanche~Vs~WBH Avalanche

It's all about personal preference. In my opinion, also anybody can correct me, I think when Chevrolet design the Avalanche, they meant the Av to be cladded (02'-06'). When people start complaining about the cladding fading, others say how ugly look etc. they took off the cladding and $600 less in the sticker price. For me when you take the cladding off in 03'-06' Av, look like something is missing, and that's the cladding. Still looks good, but like I said before it's about personal preference. The 07' and up Av looks good without the cladding because GM redesign the body style.
Just my 2 cents.

Will someone please tell me what does WBH stand for in english.  I believe it is no cladding but what does it stand for. :help:

Me personally I do not think the 07 and up would look good with the body armor . I like the lines of my now AV much more then my then AV. Guess it just a matter of preference. I do think though Chevrolet would do better with the AV if they at least offered the cladding as an option. Might convince some to upgrade to a new one and how would that be bad for GM ?

Aussie Red....I'm with you.  I loved my '02 cladded for its unique appearance and durability particularly in parking lots where "door banging goobers and idiots" seem to dwell.  The WBH models are just ok....not the head turners the claddeds are.  On the other hand, I bought my '07 due to its beautiful, graceful lines.....hell, it's just sexy!

  WBH

I hate the WBH Avalanche. I don't like the chorme bumpers. The Cladding gives the Avalanche a wide body look that is awsome. Plus if you paint it, It looks better also. They even put the cladding on the EXT they just make it smooth and paint it.

Very nice AV guys, but I still need my lower cladding.

If I did not have my cladding my Av would have been in the body shop a lot. My wife has backed into 2 poles. I have hit her Honda twice. The first time i knocked it out of the driveway and into the street. The second time i ran over the passenger quarter panel. The only damage to me Av was a bent exhaust pipe and some of the gatorback scrapped off. without the cladding i would have needed a back bumper and rear quarter panel. The a couple weeks ago  I was forced to back into a tight spot and scrapped my cladding against a pole. Again I managed to scarp off some gatorback. If I did not have cladding it would have been back to the body shop. Instead I am still owed a free gatorback because the body shop screwed mine up to begin with. So there is no way I would go without Cladding. I like knowing I have all those bumpers around my Av that I can use to get things out of my way. And I always win at the door ding war in the parking lots. The cladding just absorbs it like nothing.

I'm surprised it took this long Lance. Although from the pics it looks like a relatively small Dealership. The one you got in is the worst possible example for a WBH. The White definitely needs the molding. Tell 'em they ought to put the molding on it even if not the flares. Even my LPM is pretty plain, though the decals did help. The darker colors can get by sans molding. Our DRLs are MUCH  brighter, but more work to get to. Our Bowtie is PIA to get out...has nuts on it that you can't get to. I do like the Av front end better than the Silverado. The WBH is probably faster, no drag from the cladding and less weight. :)
Take the cover off that goes between the grille and the radiator. Piece of cake and only 10 minutes. (y)

 I would hold off on some of the tattle tailing on you and your wife's accidents.... good examples though!

Technically you're not WBH.
WBH is uncladded model years 2003 - 2006.
You are simply badass!!!  (y)

I don't think this is true.  I have a cladded '04 and drove 75mph through a freezing rain/fog last winter in southern Colorado.  There were icicles forming all over the Av.  When I stopped to look at what was happening, the icicles were all facing FORWARD all along the side of the truck!  I got some pictures somewhere.  If I can find them, I'll post them.
