Anyone receive a "ding" on what appears to be a vulnerable area on our trux?
Mine was done by the nice kid "prepping" my truk (C Av goes to the body shop). ?The whole fender was repainted after repair when dentbusters couldn't repair (sent to the body shop with the best intentions but without my authorization...work is pretty good though)
just wondering if this is an area of concern or if anyone had come up with a "fix."
Thanks  :B:
The area is above the cladding on the sheetmetal part of the wheel wells.

Actually Yes...

Couple days ago as i was passing thru the gate at my condo, the security guy hailed me about some mail, and was distracted as i cornered to tight and scrapped the right rear wheel well on the gate?s post.! :C:

The damage was minimal , red paint from the post
lined the well. The sheetmetal wasnt damaged.
Went and bought a quart of black colored polish and after a while af buffing ...back to almost normal!

Yeah, baseballs and the wheel well fneders don't go together. My son over threw the ball and I couldn't get to it in time. But it's pretty small, so I let it slide. :B:

...so no one has any ideas on how to protect the wheel wells when you are no around???
Doesn't anyone know of a plastic "surround" or anything similar?
Has anyone used door edge guards either? Specifically anyone found 'em in gray???
Thanks for your input. :B: (y)

I decided to install the wheelwell fender flairs that come fom GM for this very reason. Also makes the truck look nicer. Nice clean grey kline down the side is very appealing to the eye. My dealer ripped me off on the price at $36 each GMpartsdirect has them for $21 each but, give one of our site sponsers a call and see what they can do. I was a little impatient ( as usual ). They wanted $80 for the hardware so I went to Home Depot and found some for $8( even stainless compared to the plastic stock stuff ).

This is a thread with links about it:

Wheelwell cladding info

Any questions just ask or message me. I have them on and they look awesome :B:

PS Thanks for the info on posting a thread gxx ;)

Well after going deep, deep, DEEP! undercover here (and several windows) Taaaaa Daaaaaa...they look sweet. I think this is what I'll have to do, thanks... :B: (y) ;D
