Who would agree with me...

Don't you think guys that the avalanche without the cladding looks like an avalanche without any pants?

From the rear....it looks like it's butt is showing....

If it would not be for the WBH I would have Never purchased a avalanche. To me, the avalanche with the plastic sideing look cheap. Also with the WBH you don't have to worry about the fading of the plastic.

My Cladding Has not Faded?!!!!!!!!? :8:

My AV's are cladded and I love em. However, there was a really SICK dark grey met, fully loaded, WBH w/23's at Russ that made me drool. ... 'til I saw the sticker... Then I WAS SICK! hehe .

Actually, all the plastic that is most prone to fading is facing straight up at the sun (bed covers, sail panel, and tailgate lip) and the WBH still has all of those so lack of fading isn't a good reason to get WBH.

But I appreciate your opinion and thing the WBH is great for those that prefer it anyway.

I saw an AV w/ the cladding yesterday and it was ALL white, same color as the truck. Never seen it before, so I don't know if it's aftermarket or factory, but it looked cool. Any body else seen one?

FWIW, Saturday I asked the Salesman I bought my WBH from how the Av is selling, and why so many WBHs on the lots. He said the Av is selling great. The WBH is about all they're ordering now cause that's what's selling.

I have to agree with an earlier post...I too would not have purchased an Avalanche if the WBH option wasn't available. ?I've always liked the regular Avalanche but just couldn't see myself owning one. ?We did spruce ours up a bit though. ? (y) ?

Picked-up one last week, what an awesome truck. If any one know any links on modifications it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, by the way I got a 2k3 Z66 with the leather seats, conv. package, and the wbh package.

You know... Its not what I had pictured in my head (seeing the Av w/out cladding), but I stil prefer mine Clad. Just saying... to each there own I guess.

The WBH is catching on just like it took the cladding look a while to catch on.
I think each has its purpose and like both of them. The guys that are modding the WBH are doing a great job and it helps the looks just like the cladded ones.
My AV is 16 months old with 49,900 miles and yes the top cladding on the bed is showing some faded look that 309 gets rid of and the sides are not showing as much fading as the rest. Like mentioned above. The top is going to go first and we both are stuck with that.
Cheers to all..........CLADDED/UNCLADDED.............

So, what exactly is it about the WBH that people don't like? Is it that its not rugged enough?

I beg to differ on that

For me, my main reason for liking mine with the cladding as that the WBH AVs don't have the rear bumpers with the steps in the corners. I use that step a LOT! :D

Now I like that WBH AV. ?It just all depends what extras you add. ?This looks more lean than rugged?like it would eat up some street >:D >:D

Where did you get the hood?

I got my first close look at WBH last weekend at Home Depot. It was red, just like my cladded, so it was a very good comparison.

It really looks "leaner" although cladded looks "meaner". It does look smaller. Overall, I think it is an excellent addition to the Chevy lineup.

All things considered, I would rather have the WBH, but it would not have been worth driving the last 14,000 miles in my old Explorer.
