??? Ladies and Gents ,

I begin moving into my New Home in a Couple weeks--

How hard is this Homelink to program ?

Tubbyslanche,

Congratulations on your new home!

the homelink is very easy to program. Following the instructions in the Av manual take about 1 minute to program your homelink.

SIMPLE.....check out the manual.......also there are some threads in the Q&A about it.....the GENIE type door opener is the hardest as it may require two people.....but is easy....

Good luck with new house

ygmn,

Having two people make programming the Genie a lot easier but it can be done with one person (that would be me at my house).

You just have to get out of the truck, press the "Learn" button on the genie (or any other rolling code opener) and then go back to the truck to press the homelink button again.

But the fast open Genie is an excellent investment.

I did mine by myself.....did not get there in time the first time...as the genie timed out..,.,.so I back in the driveway and ran from ladder under openerto AVy and got it done.....

Truck does not go in my garage or AKA workshop ....but wishj I had someone there it would have been much much easier hehehehe

Thanks Avy,

Cant wait to see how much Crap I can Fill The AV with ( once I get Daves Boxes of Course ) .

Thanks (y)

Here is how I did mine,.... First, the homelink needs to learn the frequency of the transmitter so follow the owners manual on doing that.

I then pull all the way into the garage and open the sunroof.

I reach up through the sunroof, press the learn button on the opener, and the Homelink transmitter button at the same time.

I have two garage door openers, so I put the left one controls the left door, the right controls the right door and the middle one controls both doors together.
Yes, I can have garage door races!!!! Or in some cases one goes up, and one goes down.

Now why didn't I think of that one.

I knew I joined this club for a reason.
