Does any one have Experience with both of these and recommend one over the other?

the AVS is around $45 while the GM one is around $110 on Amazon and from GM part is $60 plus another $68 for shipping.

DO they look the same?

I do not use a bug guard on either of my trucks.

I did use one on a Suburban and a Silverado I had years ago, so I can see the value.

I seem to recall and It might be important to note that is has been reported in the past that the use of bug guards on these trucks can sometimes cause a wind buffeting problem on the front door windows.

Something about the way the wind is deflected off of the front of the hood and the way that wind wraps around the front windows.

Just something to consider and to keep in mind as you move forward.

Perhaps you can search this forum for more precise information.

Well do you really think GM made a Bug Guard?

Nice looking truck.
I do like the look of the bug guards and looking at the stone chips on the hood I think I best get one.
I am going to buy the AVS one and see how that one fits and looks.

I have had the AVS guard on my truck since 2016 and it has been great. Mounts easily and I have no wind buffeting issues. I also have the AVS window vent shades and those are also great. Very solid inside the window channel mount.

Another good looking truck thanks for the information. I wasn’t sure on ordering the vent shades but I think I will now 👍

all cladded trucks with a bug deflector installed are likely to have the windshield trim SLAP the glass and sound like ahh... POPCORN or ticking... Chevys fix was double sided tape the trim to the glass...

Yes, they did. I have one on my 2002. It has "Avalanche" name engraved into it.
I can look up the part number on my receipt once I get home.
I did get the windshield trim noise and did the trim tape fix.

I have had the AVS window guards & bug shield for about 6 months great products for the money.

My AV came with the aero kit with the chin spoiler and mud flaps and bug guard. Yes it had a GM part number but GM did not make it if I remember right it was Lund or auto shade. It was pretty crappy and mounted with double sided tape

I’m ordering this one from Amazon.

Auto Ventshade 322011 Aeroskin Flush Mount Dark Smoke Hood Protector for 2007-2014 Suburban & Tahoe, 2007-2013 Avalanche

just ordered the predator 2 tuner and have a list of stuff I want to buy and mod that keeps growing bigger each day so trying to slow it down a little on ordering parts before I get too carried away.

I know this is an old thread, but I have to say $65.00 is a lot cheaper then $500.00. And I must say looks really cool and matches the cladding well.

Back story, we were driving down the road and got it by a rock that came off of a passing truck, it hit the front center hood, just above the bow tie then hit the windshield, I have a $500.00 deductible on my insurance,

I went to the place I always get my windshields replaced $485.00 installed hood was going to be another $300.00.

So I went on Ebay got the AVS low profile deflector for $45.00 and touch up paint for $20.00 free shipping and looks great and most of all its the wife's truck and she likes it too, so job well done,20220520_115638.jpg
