I'm a high schooler and I'm about to get a vehicle for my birthday, my dad has found me a used chevy avalanche thats affordable, and like most high schoolers, I want a bitchin audio system in my vehicle. But by the looks of it, it doesnt seem like there is much room for a system in an Avalanche because its a pretty compact vehicle. So my question is, is there anyone out there who has a custom system in there avalanche or knows if its possible to put one in there. I'm planning on putting 2- 6.5" speakers, and 2- 12" subwoofers with an amplifier and new CD player. Thanks

You came to the right place!! :) Lots of options listed in here. Do a search and you will find many options and cool installs.
 
Welcome to the fan club!! Im glad to see someone else looking at trying to customize an AV with a great sound system! You came to the right place to search for what has been done! The AV has a ton of room for a big audio system. The only thing is, as others have found out, you might have to give up some other options such as midgate functionality to accomplish this.

Good luck with 2 12's AND functionality.

I just crammed in two 10" Alpine Type R's under the rear seat, which was a treat to build and get to work. I think I'm one of the only Avalanches with Type R subwoofers though.
