Base model shock question

I have looked all through the forums and could not find anything regarding base model shocks.

My question is ? I have a base 1500 2wd and I was thinking about replacing the shocks. It appears that the shocks for the base model are not the same as the Z66 or Z71 and I was wondering what would be a good replacement for a better ride on road. Or would it be worth replacing the stock base shocks at all? It appears to me that the base does not drive as good as a Z...

Thanks

Frank

based upon what, a test ride in each? The Bilsteins that come on the Z71 are expensive, and supposedly stiffer than the base shocks.

I'm not sure yours rides "worse" than a Z71. I probably wouldn't change them, but if I did, I likely wouldn't spend the bucks on the Z71's Bilsteins.

here's some more info I found...
