I was just wondering because I currently have the panels off my truck and baseball equipment back there, how often do you have the panels off your truck? When you take them off, where do you store them? How much of a hassle is it to put them on and take them off? And lastly, how do you feel when you have them off and something in your truck?

with no midgate, I need to keep mine on as much as possible.

what happened to your midgate?
nothing.  just took it out because of a sub box setting in the bed.  Thats coming out next week and getting replaced with a midgate box though.

Never (unless of course I have to haul something that doesn't fit underneath them

I take my bed panels off whenever I haul something too big to fit underneath. ?I take them off and put them in the garage. ?The only time I had to store them with the truck was when I bought a porch glider at a garage sell I happened to drive by. ?

I also took them off when we went to the drive-in. ?We sat in the back with the mid-gate down and used the stereo for the sound.

But otherwise......they are always on.

We take off one or two when we have the dogs back there. Usually store them in the garage when I have them off for that.

I had them off when we bought the new washer and dryer and just tied them in the bed beside the washer and dryer.

I use to use my bag that came with the truck.  Since I had the panels Gatorbacked, I never put them in there.  As a matter of fact, haven't had the need to take off the panels since then.  If I have to, I will just stand them up in the garage.  If I am out somewhere, that I need to take them off, I do not know what I am going to do.

I leave them on most of the time, I do take them off when hauling something that does not fit.  Also if I am doing an event and just driving around fields or private roads where I need to get stuff in and out of the back I leave them off and step on the hitch to reach into the back.

allways on except for dressup time and I run my painted one peice fiberglass cover

I take the last panel off quite a bit when loading/unloading.? I've taken them all off many times when carrying furniture, lumber, supplies and my canoe.? Otherwise they stay on.

I'm able to load my entire drum set and associated equipment into the Av and still keep the bed covers on.

You can fit alot of items under the covers.  I found that out 2 years ago, evacuating for Hurricane Rita.  I took quite a bit of stuff.  No furniture, but some electronic and personal items that I did not want to lose.

I had to vote NEVER...........they have been off but now I have that teak rack above the covers they don't come off. Here is a older picture.........

I take them off only if I need to haul soemthing big. Depending where I take them off and where I am delivering the load I leave them in the garage or in the truck to reinstall. I leave them on much as possible..especailly since I leave a small cashe of tools in the back.

I only take them off when i cannot fit what I am moving under them. Most of the time I put them into my carry bag and leave them in the truck. If what I am moving is going to take up more room or is Debris of some sort. I will leave the covers in the garage on a set of saw horses. I really do not like driving with the covers off because it pulls on the truck and hurts gas mileage.
