Belt Noice, Help!

does anyone have a problem with the engine belt making squeaking noices. If there is a fix please let me know because the dealerships can't seam to fix it.

I believe there is some goo (no relationship) that you can get at the auto parts store for exactly that. It goes on the belt. I've only heard of it, never actually seen it.

If the dealer did not change the belt you might try to remove it and clean it really well with a dish soap. check that there is no damage or foriegn objects stuck to the belt. While the belt is removed check all the pulleys for damage or foriegn materials. Turn all the pulleys by hand to see if you hear any unusual noises.
Hope this helps. Lots of luck.

Absolutely not related. The real goo's are known for making noise not getting rid of it.

Thanks for all of your help. My problem was due to a bad pulley. This seams to be a problem on some 2500 series models.

good luck.

Glad you got yours fixed! :B:
