What do you think are the best Av mods for the Non-mechanics ? I don't have the tools to be lifting my Av or cutting the exhaust for a welding job. But, I could see bolting on an air filter or trying a mod. chip out.
Sup TacGuy!!
I too am not too much of a mechanic, but here are the mods I have done:
1) 885 Fogs...easy (~$20)
2) 9006 Silverstars...easy (~$50)
Planning on doing:
1) 9005 Silverstars...same as 2 above
2) Billet Grill...I think it's easy (~$150)
3) Amber DRL's (~$15) (I kinda like the stock ones though)
4) Upgrade exhaust...I'll take it to a muffler shop (less than $200)
Non-mechanic mods:
- CAFCNA sticker, but really any of the sticker mods
- Delphi XM Radio
- a good hand wash, and then Zaino protection treatment
- any of the light changeouts (headlamp, DRLs, fogs)
- Hood Deflector (a.k.a. bug shield)
- Molded Mud Flaps
- K&N drop in filter
- Flag bowtie
If you are tall, then the rear head-rest mod is possibly the greatest mod ever, otherwise, I'd go with interior lights or reflective tape. Just my opinion!
I literally swapped all my lights in about 1 hour. It was by far the easiest mod I have ever done. Amber DRL's and Fog lights are very easy to get to. For the HB and LB just pop the lights out as shown in the manual and swap. I just did all of these mods today along with the Mag-lite mod for the side compartment. FYI Sylvania Silverstars have a 10.00 rebate til June. I picked up all 4 (2-9006 & 2-9005) for 19.99 each at Auto Zone. I also got the hint from these guys to double up on the rubber O-rings on you HB to snug it up. Take the one off the old bulb. Here are the rest of the p/n's
Amber DRL 4157
Fog lamps 885
LB 9006
HB 9005
p.s. you can wake up now! Sorry so long, I'm just excited.
