I am looking to buy a Diablo Predator shortly, looking around online, seems that everyone is fairly competative with each other, and both site sponsers are identical price.... what kind of deals have people found for the unit?

My main reason to get this is to recalibrate for larger tires, the Chevy dealer will only go up to just shy of a 33" tire for calibration. Also I would like the ability to read and erase trouble codes on my AV. I will be keeping with an 87 octante tune, as with the price of fuel, I will not pay for 91 octane....

I just got a quote form a source I have... I cannot say who it is through, but $375 shipped.... anyone know if I can get a better price?

And yes this is a reliable source I have known the owner of the place for a number of years, so if I have any issues I know they will be taken care of.

Thats a good price. I got mine a little cheaper $340, but that was about 6 months ago from a source I have. >:D

Mike

I bought mine on that GP a while back. It was a good deal. I think that you have to run the high octane w/ the Diablo, Grey. Maybe not with a custom programme, but they told me for sure the good stuff w/ the provided tune.

One of you should contact TBYRNE Motorsports from the site. They set up a good GP on this about a year ago. That is how I got mine. I will not say the price, as they kept it kind of hush hush, but I will say it was a very good deal ;D

Hi Dan,
Our current price for the Predator is $419.99 with overnight shipping. We are offering a $50. instant rebate through Sunday so that brings the price down to $369.99 with overnight shipping (no GP required). Our current price for the 282 fans is $409.99. You can save $15. by placing your order on our website.

Hope this helps,
Tom

here ya go kids.. since this is not a gp hopefully there will be no issue placing this on the site

BTW, this appears to be a quote from Tom @ TBYRNE Motorsports. If you don't know them it might be kind of confusing..but 369.00 w/ overnight shipping is a great deal. Jump on it (y)

well, I am having some rubbing issues and am going to have to buy new rims with a different backspacing, this is going to cut into my mod money so I will probably not be able to swing the predator yet... :C:

If you are wanting to stick with 87 octane then the predator is tricky. Like someone has already said in a previous post, you are supposed to run 93 octane ONLY with the predator. With custom tuning however, it is said that you can run 87 octane because they will retard your timing a bit from the original performance program.

www.runninwiththedevil.com gives you as many free custom tunes as you need with the purchase of a predator from them. I bought from them and I can speak highly of their service and quick replies to my emails. You might go check out their forum and ask them if you can reliably run 87 octane in your truck with a custom tune.

Oh, and as for price, I did get a deal from them comparable to some of the other prices people have posted in this thread (i should keep the exact number hush-hush). ESPECIALLY when you consider that you get free custom tunes which usually cost 60 bucks or so each. I dont think they are running the same sale now as when I bought mine, but if you contact them with competitors prices, they might offer you a pretty good deal.

Wow, $340 is a good price, but I'm sure that there are other vendors out there that can sell it even cheaper than that. Try going to Lil' Devil MotorSports
Tell Rodney that you're a friend of mine and that I recomended you.

Manny,

cheaper than $340.00...WOW...That would be Awesome!!!

I'm looking to dump my Hypertech for a Predator too, that just might seal the deal.

Thanks Bro...

Bill

I have heard good things about RWD, but $340 is a great price. As far as custom tunes, it really does not matter who you get a Predator from as you can get custom tunes for free directly from DiabloSport.

As far as an 87 tune, I suggest you read this thread:

Diablo/Magnaflow/ProCold (Includes 1-2 fix 4 diablo) sheet inside

I sent a request to Johan and he sent me two custom tunes the next day, one for 87 and one for 93 both with the 1-2 fix as is described in this thread. I have not run through the tank yet to try out the 93 tune, but the 87 tune makes a difference for me. I would imagine that the 93 tune makes even more of a difference. The power and shift is much smoother and it improved the overall driveability.

For those that think tthe Diablo is 93 octane only... sorry boys... you need to read up more.... >:D

Diablo has an 87 octane tune and a 93 octane tune... and yes I have already talked to Johan about getting a custom 87 octane tune for my AV with regards to the size tire I am running (34.5's) the cat back, and the area I live (hot desert) and he agreed that he could give me a consideral boost in power and still run 87 octante..... plus he would send me all the latest and greatest fixes....

Still need to get my wheels though.... but the Diablo will come... >:D

Manny,

Do you mind if i give them a ring and drop your name also? That is a great deal! I was going to do a couple of other mods but for that price I will do it now.

Go for it! Rod loves it when I bring him business.
