Does anyone know if the AMP Billet Fuel door for a Silverado, would fit our Av's?

The instructions for mine says "Silverado 1999 to present, Avalanche." So, yes, the Silverado model fits, at least it fits a 2002.

I would've suggested Al on the partner page, but as I understand it, AMP made him stop selling at that price. I don't know about any new connections.

However, you could try eBay, although that can sometimes be risky since you don't always know with whom you are dealing.

Thanks SS. There is one for sale on eBay but the guy doesn't know if it'll fit an Av. Plus, the pic looks different, but it is an AMP

I asked that guy the same question! Man, now I can't bid on it. I did find one on a website, but I can't remember which one now. I'll find and post it here tomorrow, it was under $100 and it was a bolt on.
 
He told me somebody had ask him about it too. ;D LOL
He also told me that he will look into it and that he has plenty of them. He said that he pulled the pic off of AMP's website so that is not the actual one that he was selling for Chevy's.
The doors that Al was selling on the site were also AMP so I'm assuming they are the same ones. AMP does not have a fuel just for the Av, they have it listed for Silverado's.
Let me know what you come up with.

They have brushed for $79 and polished for $99, their shipping & handling is as bad as gmpartsdirect.

Did that auction end, I couldn't find it again.

Looking at the picture, and the price, I can see that this is definitely not the same as the AMP doors that were offered on the partner's page. I don't see how you would open that door, there is no finger hole/slot/depression there in order to grab the door. The only thing I can guess is that you push in on the far side of the hinge? ?:p

One other issue is that we have a finger access dimple in the sheet metal. On the AMP door, a flap from the door meets this dimple so it is easy to flip it open. It does not look like this door does that, so I wonder if the finger access dimple will look out of place?

Of course, this is probably a generic fuel door picture, and the Silverado/Avalanche model could look different, making much of this discussion moot.

Does anyone have any experience with this one from StylinConcepts?

The stylinconcepts one looks as though it is a push open type. You know the magnetic latch that is found on some home stereo cabinets.

Not sure if I would want something like that on the AV though.

IMHO go with the AMP, very well fit and I get compliments all the time, asking if it is stock.

Let it be understood that I was able to get a few of these for myself. I got one for myself and I ordered a few extra for others in the Tri-State Chapter who want them. I got a few extra's for for people who want them. I'm only doing this a farvor for you guys. I'm trying to be a nice guy. I paid a $100 for them and I will ship them for $10, for a total of $110.
