Greetings Everyone. I dont post on here often but thought I would share some info. I work for a supplier of parts to Boss snow plows and was visiting them today to discuss future business. While up there I questioned them about putting a plow on a Avalanche. His first response was yeah we can do that. It turns out it was a 2500 he was talking about but then I talked to one of the design engineers and he stated that there would be a plow out next year to fit on the 1500. After a shop tour we went out in the parking lot and what was out there but a running Black 2500 Z71 with painted cladding chrome wheels looking to be at least 19's with a big plow on the front. I figured oh OK so you can put one on the 2500's but than walking further there was a Pewter Z71 1500 with an under carriage on it for a plow. So this thing is not far off for us. They have a new light weight I believe 7' 2" plow coming out that would be perfect for us. These plows would still not authorized by GM but they meet all of the Highway Safety standards to the point of even being safer in a front on Crash test. They had a brand new Dodge Ram 1500 Crewcab crushed in the front from a test. It passed with flying colors. Well I have more to say but it's getting long so if you have any questions let me know.
