Okay, please don't yell at me too much, but I bought a 2004 Chevy 2500HD Crewcab 4WD LT over the weekend. :B:

Talk about nice!!! I am totally impressed with the improvements over my 2000 Silverado.

I know I said before I was going to get an Avalanche, but it came down to the deal and the size of the bed. I really needed the fullsize bed and I've also always wanted a 2500HD.
Sunroof is going in this week and then the lift is in a couple of weeks.

Okay, to my question. I need some advise on wheels. I want 16x10 Chrome (no polished) 8 lug. Any recommendations?

Just got it, I've barely had time to drive it, let alone take some pics.

I'll get picks up shortly.

The AVY has a full 8'-1" bed..................

???

Actually what did it for me was that I wanted them to install the Amber DRL and they said no on the Avalanche, but yes to the Crewcab. SOLD!
;)

I think he's trying to make amends. :7:

What mods are in store JP?

Well Jason, to keep the tread on track... I have a set of Tiller 8's from Budnik and I quite like them.

I know the are billets and so may not be what you wanted but check them out, not sure but they may do chrome as well.

I reviewed your sig, it says Truck and SUV's..... I only see 2 pickup Trucks!!!!!

Jason has the new HD and his wife has a Tahoe... LOL, I'm guessing he doesn't get the keys very often to get a photo of it. ;)

Ugh....first Jason doesn't offer us a discount on the billet fuel door...then he goes and buys something other than an Avalanche! >:D Well at least he's a site sponsor.

How much longer is the Silverado long bed than the Av?

Simple math tells me 3 feet. :D

We have a 5ft bed with the midgate closed. The 2500HD long bed is an 8ft bed.

So, the 2500HD is about 3 feet longer, has a longer wheelbase, and is not an Avalanche. Jason, what did you do? >:D

Congratulations, Jason. Did you sell your 2000 yet? I didn't see a post on it being sold. I'm all in favor of people who get to "upgrade" their rides often.

While not an Avalanche, I bet that crewcab is a slick beast. I don't think I would ever own a non-crew truck. And you can't really go wrong with any of the C/K platform. But crew+fulltime 8ft bed? Where do you make u-turns? >:D

I believe he uses up a substantial portion of the Gulf when he does that.... ;)

Ha Ha Ha ;D

It works best for a U-turn if I go to Dallas, cut over to Fort Worth and then back to Houston.

It actually only has the 6 foot bed.

As for upgrades, already did the lighted sun visors, Homelink console and a sunroof. Oh yeah, I tinted it too, but that really doesn't count because that's a must here in Houston.

Oh yeah, pictures. Now where did I put those....... ???

Oh. Somewhere we (me and other posters) got off track and thought you had the 8ft longbed. Guess you never said that--just "full bed" at 6"... Guess you needed that extra 9" that the Avalanche wouldn't provide you with the full seating? Hmmm.

And yes, get some real pics up! :)
