Brake Lines getting ripped off?

We all know that the exposed Avalanche brake lines interfere with chains. (What was Chevrolet thinking?) Even worse, it is likely that during some 4x4 adventure, one of the lines could get snagged by some obstacle and ripped to shreds. Has anyone investigated permanently re-routing them? I can't imagine that a good 4x4 fab shop couldn't build some new stainless hoses that aren't so exposed.

Ideas?

The line in question I think is the Parking brake cable.......is it not?

I have a Couple in One Of My Fleets w/Snow Chains and have yet To have any Issues !

I looked last night, I guess it is the parking brake lines that are exposed. I sure would like to get them protected. But now that I realize they are just for the parking brake, it may not be that big a deal........

Tubbyslance- there is a whole 7 page string of questions about tire chains that is dying for your input. It's under mods/tires. Please share your knowledge about chains on your Av.
