Has anyone tried swapping out the lights in the bed for something brighter? These are ALMOST bright enough to be useful.

Has anyone used any colored lights? Neons? Strobes?

I thought the strobes might be cool with the bed panels off and the tailgate open... Or even with the tailgate closed.

I haven't found anything brighter. You can get colored replacements for the 912 bulb at Lightlens.com. I cruise with my panels on and midgate down to exposure my sub enclosure which has neons. I think clear strobes wired to the where the cargo lights are would be too cool ;D

I know ... I have to really do some thinking about not using purple strobes in there. I have been spending too much time on the NEON boards

ohhhh good idea guys..ill bechecking this out asap. Also goo any pics of your bed..sub enclosure?

There are pictures of my old bandpass enclosure over in the subwoofer topic. I have upgraded amps, enclosure and neons since then. I haven't taken any photos yet since I am still planning on getting more crazy with it.

I went to my local "Rice shop" last night and had two of their guys out playing with the lights in the bed. They really didn't have any luck with anything they had, which really annoyed them. I think they've made it a personal mission of theirs to get some cool lights in there. They had some lights they were out of but had on order... it was late, I can't remember what they were right off hand.

One thing they suggested that I really liked was a billet/eruo style lens for the bed lights. A nice metal ring around the end with screws in it (whether they were real screws or not didn't matter) with a nice clear glass cover on it.

I'm going to go back in a week or two for a follow up. I think they're going to come through and find some cool lights for the bed. If they come up with anything I'll share the results.

David
