I am another one who got a new GM brush guard for next to nothing. One reasion is because it didn't have any instructions. My Avalanche is an 04. If any body can send me a copy of the instructions it would be greatly apprecated

using the word search function I found this thread that in reply #4 it has a PDF attachment with the install instructions:I know this is an old thread but just scored a oem brush guard for my Avy. Looking for install instructions.
Did I get lucky then that I didn't have to drill any holes in my bumper? I just put one on mine last weekend. Mine went through where my tow hooks sat. Had to pull them, but no holes at leastIf you didn't get the instructions let me know. I just installed one.
My suggestion: have someone you can hold responsible do it. Number two, measure the bolts on the grill guard, don't trust the instructions. And yes, you're gonna drill a "huge" hole in the cladding and a smaller huge hole through the steel bumber underneath. What a beotch with a household 3/8" drill.
There is a part of the installation that really takes two people. Once the holes are drilled and your ready to mount the guard, find a friend. It really helps to have someone hold the guard in while you're attaching the bolts. I did it myself and almost killed myself .
Thank you very muchusing the word search function I found this thread that in reply #4 it has a PDF attachment with the install instructions:
OEM brush guard install instructions
Can someone post these on here. All the threads are old. Just bought one for my 2004 with cladding. I've searched the internet and gone to the dealer. Need to know where to cut the holes without recreating the wheel. Thankswww.chevyavalanchefanclub.com
