Decided last Saturday to tackle the swirl marks and scratches on my AV. I order some pads for my Porter Cable 7424xp and went to work. I ran a detail department for a Dodge and Chevy dealership back in my younger years but I always used a high speed buffer to cut and polish paint. I purchased a DA buffer a few years ago and have been pleased with the results. I used Mequiars 105 "Cut" and 205 "polish.
I remember now why I wanted a white Avalanche but nothing looks better than black when it's clean. I was pleased with the overall results. I am going to need to go back and touch up paint rock chips but I will tackle that on another day.
