I would like to hear some members here in how much they have paid for their new AV before rebates and is the their price above, at, or below invoices. Also, what would you personally consider to be a good deal for a new AV?

welcome to the club Ivan, I am Chris the KC area coordinator... good luck in finding an AV, and let us know what you get, and keep your eyes peeled for local get togethers!

I just got my AV this week and the price I got through GMbuypower.com quote before rebates ended up to be about 100 or so less than Invoice. That price even beat carsdirect.com which was about 100 more than invoice before rebates. I think there is a salesmen in TX on this board that will sell you at 350 below invoice.

Good Luck,
Con

iemok,
Definitely below dealer invoice. Search through the posts to find the thread which will give you an ID an password to the GM Buypower site, there you will find the Invoice, Dealer Invoice and GMS pricing for GM Vehicles and their options. With the way the dealers are selling these days, you should be able to have a starting price at or just below dealer invoice, then add the rebates. I know that the GM in the Driveway certificates, search for that thread to, is a good deal and puts you at or near invoice before rebates.

When I bought my 02, I got $9000 off MSRP, which was all the rebates and everything, not sure because the dealer said that any AV in stock was $9000 off MSRP, which included any rebates, so I am not sure what the starting price was.

I think you should be able to pick up a nicely equipped Av between 28 and 30 K.

No one should ever pay at sticker or above again. There are so many rebates and there will always be a bargain dealer somewhere if you look enough. In Indiana (and I assume in other places) there is a $4500 rebate on the Av. As long as the dealer hasn't put on a bunch of add-ons like pinstriping, Scotch-Gaurd, and other overboard expenses, the rebate should put you below invoice.
