My 2500 would like to attend... ;Dsorry to void your equations, Jimmy
now thats funny hehehehe

do they have to be in a line....why not 2 lanes?

OK, let me get out my calculator:

2,224 Avalanches X 221.6 inches per Avalanche (IPA)= 492,838.4 Inches Of Avalanche (IOA)

492,838.4 IOA / 12 inches per foot = 41,069.9 Feet Of Avalanche (FOA)

This is equivalent to 7.78 Miles Of Avalanche (MOA) if they're bumper to bumper.

If the Avalanches were traveling at 40mph, and maintaining the prescribed one car-length of space between vehicles for every 10mph of speed, then the length of the Avalanche parade would be approximately 39 miles.

If all of the Avalanches had a full tank of gas (assuming that they're 1500's) then there would be 68,944 gallons of gasoline in their tanks at the start of the parade.

I think I have a little too much time on my hands today . . .

Ummmm . . . . YUP!

Hey since I don't have an AV yet . . . Can I ride shotgun????? ;D ;D

:B:

Great idea! But something that large would have to be done on a lightly traveled road, close to my house I hope, and end up in a well known destination eg: disneyland etc... for publicity reasons. I will fly a helicopter over the event, but I will need a volunteer to ride with me to take video/photos. Kinda' hard to fly one and take pics at the same time.
Can we make this a different record type such as suggested earlier, most trucks, most avalanches, most change for a buck, etc....
Are we serious about doing this. We could meet in AZ or Utah or CA or ?????
:B:

If it was a serious attempt - I'd be in for it...

Who was the General during the Revolutionary War that circled the same 125 troops around and around on the same trail to fool British defenders that they were facing a vastly superior fighting force?

;) I wonder if there is a record for consecutive meets. like if we set a gtg in every province and every state at the same time? That could be done and would be kewl!! ;D

Great Idea, Lets all meet at Yaks House....(hehehe)
BRING IT ON!! You all meet here, and I guarantee you will make a guiness record for having the MOST AVALANCHES in a SMALL NORTHERN TOWN!!

Would be kew to see the look on the faces of the locals when they see nothing but AV's for MILES and MILES!! >:D (y)

Who wants to go there, is Illinois still a state?
We should sell it ;)

Well, assuming the average weight of the AV is 5,500 lbs ( I know it's not ), the total weight would be 12,232,000 lbs, distributed over 39 miles.

That's empty fuel tanks.

We DID sell it. The occupants just won't leave so we can dig it up and move it away.

What the heck is wrong with Illinois? I've been there lot's of times. It's pretty cool. They have, uh... , gimme' a minute,.... uh,... well,... it's kinda' a cool name and.... uh.....uh...
