I was thinking with all the gtg's and the national meet comming up it would be nice to all be on the same radio channel. I have a cheap set of motorola 250 talkabout radios. We use them for fishing,paintball,4 wheeling and when we cruise in our old car with friends. Most all of them have 14 channels and some have eliminator codes. This could also work when you are going down the road and see amber driving lights and wanted to say hi. I will just throw out 7.0 as the channel for now. If anyone has a better idea lets hear it. Is it time for an offical CAFCNA channel. DWAYNE

The bad thing is that not all radios have sub channels. It is best to keep it with no sub channels.

On several events out here we have found that using the date seems to work really well. The main channel being the month and the sub-channel being the day.

You just had to ruin it for me didn't you snow :6:

Yeah, when I was in TX we used 3... when I did the FL meets after that we all used 3.

I was just thinking about this the other day. On my trip up to CT there were two AV's from Maryland following each other and they were on radios. I had my radio with me and was trying to find what channel they were on so I could say hi, but never found 'em.

Heck, if we all had a standard channel I'd just turn my FRS on when I was in my AV and then if anyone saw me or wanted to say hi or was just randomly talking I'd be able to join in.
