Yes those are nice but is the price that they quote online correct?  $170 for each side.  That's expensive.

That price is correct.. IF you buy the lam housing AND get them smoked from them.  I paid $150 to send both my lights in and have them smoked.  Still kind of a ripoff, but they did a great job.

They will also do the 3rd brake light at no extra charge.

I went cheap and tinted my own. Under $20 and looks pretty good.

well i went on and purchase the black ones.... damn i wished i would have seen this post before i did though.. cause i kinda like the clear chrome ones on a black avy.... well i will post pics of it when i get it out of the shop from getting gatorblacked...lol and chrome nerf bars put on and the tint... whew alot being done to my baby...lol

I like others have mine painted black with chrome trim.? Biggest downfall is the dimmness of my braking lights now.? Having them painted looks fairly decent on a black AV just have to be careful how dark you paint them.

i think you made the right choice man, the clear and chrome ones look too ricey for me personally. the smoked ones will look awesome on the black truck. i really like the ones from jpcustoms, but i dont know if there is enough room for my strobes. drive safe, andrew

Those are the ones that a few members have said melt after a while.  Do a search on melted tailights.  Most recommend LED bulbs with those to prevent melting, but you have to do something special with the wiring because of the cruise control.  If you use regular bulbs and dont drive much at night you might be okay.  I have also considered buying these lights as  I like the look over the others.  I found some RED 3157's that are only 8 watts (clear are 12 watts) and also some rubber bulb covers that might keep the heat of the bulb down.  Just havent taken the plunge yet.
