Please? I'm very excited about being a part of this community! I'm supposed to pick up my 03 Av tomorrow and want to make sure that nothing is out of order.

Thank you so much!!

One more question - just to make sure I don't get stepped on. I have money down on the truck. Its a 2003 completely loaded Z71 4x4. I negotiated the price to $27000. Is that high or low for just 22,000 miles??

Opinions appreciated.

Well darn - Wish I'd asked here what I should expect to pay before going to the dealer now. Now I have to debate if its still worth paying for at that price and accepting. Its definately my dream truck, but I don't wanna get taken to the bank on it either. Around here a 4x4 can come in very handy, but I'm sure the market value isn't that much higher than other places that you guys live. Hmmmmm.

It's not high for a "loaded" Z-71. A base Avalanche, yes.

The MSRP on my loaded 2003 Z-71 was approximately $44K.

I paid roughly $33-$35K (It's been 6 months don't remember exactly). And from what I recall I got a good, deal, I did a lot of research at the time.

So if you pay $27K, that's $6K-$8K off for 22K miles. You decide.

Realize that the info above is not telling you much, you still need to get the full CarFax report. I think that's what you are asking for.

Also, be aware that CarFax is only as good/acurrate as the information that is given to CarFax. Not all insurance companies provide info to CarFax, not every accident is reported to insurance, etc. The CarFax just gives you an idea of title histroy and reported problems. There can still be unreported problems. I own a minivan and ran a CarFax report that did not show the entire title history. I notified CarFax and they refunded my report fee.

I agree. It's not a raging basement bargain, but it's not a bad price either. Mine stickered for $40K and I got it for $32K, so like he said $6K off for 22,000 miles is probably fair. Ran an appraisal on Edmunds (had to guess at some features, but should be pretty close) and they listed a loaded '03 Z-71 with 22,000 miles at $26500 trade in, $28400 private sale and $31,700 dealership price. Getting it for $500 over trade in is pretty good I think.

From what I have been seeing around here for price, $27,000 for a loaded '03 seems pretty good. They want all of that around here for a loaded one.

I know I want all of the toys on mine when I get one. I want leather, sunfoof, Z71, Roof rack, controls on the wheel, audio control in the rear...etc and the other thing is I want SOM, Red, Arrival Blue and would consider green or white.

Try to find all of that up here in the boonies for a decent price! It's been a challenge to say the least!
