Does anyone have a Car Chip for their AV, and have run it a while? For those curious, look at carchip.com, a SEMA winner, and looks promising. I was thinking of getting one for performance tuning. Would need the EX model, but really would like to hear from someone who has been there, done that kinda thing.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,

I have an EX. It is everything they advertise.

If you have a laptop available the carchip is not the best value for tuning. For a little more you can get EFILive which provides a lot more flexibility.

It all depends on how far into tuning you want to get. It's all you'll need for checking bolt on mods and tuning modules. You need something more flexible if you are making custom changes to your PCM.

Redshift,

Do you like it, and is the download easy to do? Is there any software that comes with the unit that is any good. The intake and air mixture has my interest. I also think the last 20 seconds of driving in the event is good or bad depending on what happened that caused the accident. Any real time info would be great.

Thanks,

Steve

I think it is an excellent device. very easy to use. You can produce graphs of the data you log. You can see how timing advance lines up with engine speed, intake temp, etc. The only way to get anything better is to bring your laptop out to the truck.
