I know we are doing the covered bridge tour on Oct. 11th. Circle S Farms sent me a brochure about their fall activities on the farm. Amongst the activities, is a car show on Oct. 4th.

Circle S Farms has a huge list of stuff to do there in the fall, including the following:

Hayrides
pumpkin picking
6 acre corn maze
sunflower maze
land of the giants pumpkin maze
scarcrow cave maze
petting zoo
backery
a cafe
gourmet food market place

They are also offering campsites in the woods, with bonfires

Special group rates etc...

anyway, here is the website that was on the brochure. http://www.circlesfarm.com

So, anyone up for a car show?

Sounds great!!! Got it on the calendar, but may have out of town company that weekend.

I would be interested in more info about the camping. We got a new tent and are looking for a place to use it.

I have requested info on the Car show... so, I am still waiting for that info.

The "Campsites" are just for the evening, and include a bonfire. From what I have read, you don't actually camp in the woods... just sit around a campfire. They are also reserved for groups of 10 or more.

Weekend Day Tours are $7.50 per person (no mention of discounts for children or seniors). The weekend Day tour includes the following:

Hayride
Pick your own pumpkin
fun barn
6 acre corn maze
sunflower maze
land of the giants pumpkin maze
scarecrow cave maze
fodder lane and antique tractor (for pictures)
gourmet food sampling.

They also have food vendors/restaraunt on site, plus a market place.

They mention discounts for groups of 10 or more, but that is by appointment only, and the amount is not listed.

If my schedule (and the boss) allows, this sounds good to me.

October is my favorite time of the year, so I am ready to go.

Finally recieved the info on the car show... Why they couldn't just email this to me, I don't know... anyway, here it is.

Harvest Cruise
Saturday, Oct. 4th

Registration 12:00-3:00
Fee: $5 per vehicle
dashplaques for first 100 cars entered
Top 50 Cars win Trophies
Top 10 motorcycles win Trophies
Live DJ (better than a dead one)
Door prizes

All the other farm activities, cost the additional $7.50 per person

So, other than JJ and GBT, is anyone else interested?

Are we entering the car show?

I hear GBT keeps a clean AV... Spork is pretty sharp too with the Waag and painted engine cowl.

We still plan on going.

Musiks.... what about you????

JJ

I plan on entering the car show. Might as well. Won't be the first or last time I enter Spork in a show.

Spork... is there anything we need to do in advance to get in the car show?

TCG and I are still planning on attending. Musiks mentioned interest as well.

What are the plans for meeting.... time, place, etc.?

I will e-mail the SWOH members and see if I can get a more interest.

Sorry guys, I can't make it to this one.

I was figuring on just meeting there at noon. There is no common place to meet before there. I would be heading directly south.

I am assuming that it is an all make/model/year car show. I haven't seen anything to the contrary in the flyers. We'll see if they let us in. If not, there seems to be plenty of other stuff to do, like look at the cars in the car show.

I went back to their site and looked at last year's pics. Although most of them were classic cars, there was teh occasional Silverado, etc. thrown in.

We will plan on meeting you around noon.

In case of rain, the car show will be cancelled, according to the Circle S info. Do you want to do a corn maze in the mud?

New forecast is for 20% chance of rain...high of 54. (y)

Man, I gotta get a job like that... never have to be right or held accountable for providing wrong information. :2:
