Charity.....a suggestion for STI-II.

Tinman, just sent out my PM's to all Florida members on my buddy list. Hopefully you will have a good contest for donations on your hands (y)

Thanks OviedoAV

.....now if Mother Nature will permit our AV friends time to refocus those nerves endings directly and indirectly affected by Mother Nature, we can cruise on down the road for ourselves too! ;D

Sorry Folks :6: for this Topic's visual misdirection.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we understand, and we've all been guilty of that a time or two. Or three. Or four. Or five........... Beside, you started the thread in the first place! ;)

While I'm here: I think I'm going to hit up my boss for a cash donation for the charity side of this event. We're not a national company so it's not like a big advertisement for us, but it seems like a good neighbor thing to do. (y)

Good idea Joe. Since I work for the Dept. of the Navy, I don't think I can get my "company" to chip in. I will, however, hound my coworkers unmercifully to contribute clothes. >:D Mebbe I should push for heavy coats...max poundage that way!

I'm as guilty as anyone when this happens,....when I'm having fun with you guys. Sometimes things are said that make me wanna say something spiteful or in anger of what someone might mean in their selection of words.
My goal at each post is to be nice to everone. I preview and reread before each post but, often those words I selected and reread are not within the best taste to a friend, a fellow club member or anyone in their family.

>:D ....and now I pay attention to what Redfeather might read within my post and what I hope she should understand.

MIKE

btw....like Joe, Redfeather has a rare cladded SRM too.

I'm still planning on bringing men's clothing. Is there anything else I should be looking at Mike ???

Sourmash

That's fine.

Hey guys...the Charity activity is "your choice".
Charity is not a requirement for anyone attending STI-II.

Time to bump again - don't forget to load your charity stuff. I wound up with some pretty nice mens clothes, including seven almost new sport coats. Once I finish loading the Av tonight, I'll look some for some more clothes.
Don't forget! ;)

I'm sure Tinman has something lined up. Last year we went and they cooked us dinner one night (pretty tasty too (y) ) but I dont see that on the schedule so maybe he's just gonna take things over? At anyrate, bring whatever you can/want and I'm sure it will get to the right places. (y)

This note was on page one - we need to stop by there between Savannah & Tybee Island. Guess I'll mapquest the location so I can get there. Can be any one of these places I believe.

If I can bring some good clothes to STI, can someone get them to the appropriate agency? Want to help, but time's a little tight, and I don't know the area at all.

thanks,

space

I know, that is what I am wondering. Time on Friday will be very tight  When are you heading up Sourmash?

I'm leaving early tomorrow morning. My wife is driving separately at noon or so (and she's bringing the clothes). I might be able to scout out the location on the way to Tybee. I would think maybe some of the wives might be able to drop stuff off during their wild shopping spree. Or, maybe someone who isn't doing mods might volunteer to make a run Saturday morning. If not, we will find a way to get things over there. Before I leave, I'll do a mapquest for several of the places mentioned (leaving from OPBR).

The DNR guys will drop off our items after lunch.

Hoss spoke to Wesley Crenshaw....just drop off your Charity Donations when you can.

Well some how, I ended put having about 4 bags of clothes, and a bag of shoes.. Wondering if Paula will miss them >:D Just kidding honey..
